Ndidi Nwuneli was the keynote speaker on the Philanthropy and Systems Change dimension. She is an expert in social innovation, African agriculture, nutrition entrepreneurship and youth development.
The impact of rapidly changing technology on philanthropy and its operations has arguably
been far greater in the last decade than has been the case before and has contributed to the democratisation of philanthropy. Through technology, awareness of unmet needs is quickly diffused and the many giving platforms are quickly tapped on to offer resources. The current giving platforms give individuals of diverse economic abilities the same platform to be a donor, thus demystifying the notion of philanthropy as a prochoice of the rich.

Daniel Kabini on Youth and Philanthropy
Daniel Kabani was the keynote speaker on the Youth in Philanthropy dimension of the conference theme. He is the founder of DNK Consultancy and a dynamic youth enabler from Zambia.
Going into the future, institutional philanthropy will require a few adjustments to align with the rapidly changing global dynamics. One such solution will be the deepening of the
involvement of the youth not only for their talents, but also the treasure of others, and the
need for a safer future. Studies have established that youth flourish from actively participating in philanthropic initiatives. There is also evidence that young people who volunteer learn life skills, responsibility, and commitment to society. In addition, the more resilient and sustainable communities are those with higher levels of young inclusion.

He is an Advisory Board Member at the Centre on African Philanthropy and a Consultant to numerous development organisations, offering his experience in international development to support programmes and strategies of organisations across the globe.
The People dimension of philanthropy in Africa is at a significant inflection point. There is a rising acknowledgement of the importance of diversity and inclusion. This is evident in how philanthropic entities are engaging a broader spectrum of actors to drive community change. Moreover, there is an emergence of new participants and a shift toward local ownership and knowledge. Notably, women and youth are increasingly central in shaping African philanthropy.
The Power dimension pertains to how power is distributed and exercised within the sector. This involves the roles of external players such as international donors, governments, and civil society organisations. A pivotal change in this dimension is the mounting emphasis on localisation and community ownership, which challenges established power dynamics in the sector.
