After Impact follows the story of Reagan Esther Myer, one of the survivors of a mysterious apocalyptic event called Impact. Shortly after joining the pilot program for ThotBot, a brain implant that erases "harmful" memories and dulls emotions, she begins her life living in an abandoned shopping mall and producing survivalist tutorials for a crumbling world. Shortly after arriving at her new post, she finds a cassette tape detailing her very own journey from the day of Impact -- June 21, 1995 -- up until the day she joins The ULTRA.
This dystopian audio drama is one of four multi-platform "Episodes" that tell the story of Reagan Esther Myer and the ThotBot Storyworld. In addition to this tale, there are also three performance-based Episodes: an interactive installation, a multimedia musical, and an immersive theater show. Whereas each Episode stands alone narratively, together they weave a sprawling story across a mid-90s timeline.
Visit getthotbot.com for more on the other Episodes (and to attend if you find yourself in the Boston area).
It's true. I'm behind schedule. This Leo was seduced by the sweet siren song of her season! Since the completion of the scripts, I've recorded my lines and those with several old and new cast members and *some* of the sound effects. I hit a point where (with other obligations taken into consideration) I realized I would not have the time to complete several episodes of Season 2 in time for today and gawd FORBID I start dropping these episodes and life gets in the way and there's a delay...

Glitch Tape 06: The Magic Shop
In this week’s Glitch Tape, I utilize three distinct British accents to bring to life a short story about a man, his kid, and a “rum” shopkeep/conjurer in H.G. Wells’ short story, The Magic Shop. That’s GENUINE magic, of course. Anytime I can put on a wild cockney accent, I’m going to do it. This is the last Glitch Tape for now as I pivot my time and energy to producing Season 2 of After Impact and selling tickets/promoting another run of the ThotBot Implantation Center, opening in October 20...

Glitch Tape 05: A Slice of Life from 30 Years Ago
On this week’s Glitch Tape, we time travel (my favorite thing) to July 1995, exactly 30 years ago, with an issue of LIFE. This is the absolute dawn of the Information Superhighway and even the personal computer as a Thing. I mean, now it’s in our pocket, but at one time, the entire concept of the “Net” had to be explained. We discover how Apple pitched the idea via a TWO PAGE advertisement -- three columns of text on EACH PAGE. There’s a little snapshot of MJ and Lisa Marie on their one year ...

Glitch Tape 04: Her Climax
WARNING: not for children's ears! Not Safe For Work! Will they make it work or will it crumble to dust? We reach the thrilling climax of this tawdry tale. And a story from a listener featuring an equal amount of nudity. Call (757) 7-GLITCH to leave your anonymous story and be featured in an upcoming episode. Follow me on instagram or bluesky for all things ThotBot. I have a whole world out here. This is just the tip of Irving -- I mean the tip of the iceberg! And if you're in the Boston...

Glitch Tape 03: The Child Probers
I swear this episode is not about grooming youngsters. From a 1977 TV Guide, we learn about how Big TV Commercial has been brainwashing us since the get go. Plus a delightful story about a road trip that was fire. 💨🔥 Call (757)7-GLITCH to leave your story and be featured in an upcoming episode. Check out the cover, the art, the Ants! and some ads from this TV Guide on my instagram or bluesky. And if you're in the Boston area, you can now get tickets for the ThotBot Implantation Center, ...

Glitch Tape 02: Her Irving
WARNING: NSFW and for adult ears only. This week, we "thrust" ourselves into the world of paperback smut. Count how many times the word "flesh" is used; incidentally, one of my favorite words. And a story from a listener about a swan dive among strangers. Call (757)7-GLITCH to leave your story and be featured in an upcoming episode. Check out the cover of the book and an ad for a sanitary belt (plot related) on my instagram or bluesky. And if you're in the Boston area, you can now get tickets...
