[…] And one of the important things that I'm passionate about telling people about is you've got to get enough protein, and even despite the high keto, high protein craze going around in the country right now, most people I talk to aren't getting enough protein. And the recommendation US RDA for protein as people get older is insufficient to maintain muscle and bone mass. Research came out of Europe actually showed that just the amount of protein somebody consumes can account for 2 % to 4 % of bone mineral density. As I mentioned earlier, bone is a highly protein dependent tissue, and it has 200 proteins in it, and those proteins in that collagen is what the minerals bind to. […]
