Storytelling with Artist Andrew Salgado
Andrew Salgado is a Canadian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadians)born artist who works at his studio in Hackney, London (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London). His work has been exhibited all around the world and Andrew was personally featured in the 2014 documentary Storytelling, which followed him as he created a series of works. To use one of my favourite oxymoron’s, his paintings are a little on the large side, with works of portraiture incorporating elements of abstraction and symbolic meaning. I recently met with him at his studio and as we sat down with a cup of coffee, it was immediately evident he was very easy going and relaxed.
