The Garage on North Clark Street: Valentine's Day, 1929

(00:00:00) The Garage on North Clark Street: Valentine's Day, 1929 (00:00:50) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:01:53) The North Side Problem (00:02:52) Hymie Weiss and the Escalation (00:03:48) Building the Fortress (00:05:00) Removing Weiss (00:06:04) February Fourteenth (00:07:09) Eliot Ness and the Tax Trap (00:08:25) The Trial That Changed Everything (00:09:08) Prison and the Slow Collapse (00:10:06) Palm Island February 14, 1929. Seven members of the North Side Gang lined up inside a garage at 2122 North Clark Street — and were executed. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre is one of the most notorious moments in American organised crime history, but to understand it, you have to understand everything that came before. This episode follows Al Capone's journey from the Brooklyn streets where he ran errands for Frankie Yale, to Chicago's underworld under Johnny Torrio's mentorship, to the controlled suburb of Cicero where the Hawthorne Inn became his fortified headquarters. Along the way, Dean O'Banion ran flowers and bootleg liquor across from the Holy Name Cathedral, Hymie Weiss put a thousand rounds into the Hawthorne's walls and nearly killed Torrio outside his own home, and Bugs Moran inherited a gang that refused to yield. Capone didn't just inherit Torrio's empire — he inherited an open war. He built his operation with the discipline of a businessman: managing police corruption, coordinating multi-precinct bribes, and running a bootlegging network that generated an estimated hundred million dollars a year. The North Side Gang was the one problem money and muscle couldn't quietly solve. The massacre on Valentine's Day was the answer Capone chose. It was also the moment the public, which had tolerated the bootlegger, finally looked away. The city's patience had a limit — and seven bodies on a cold February morning found it. The Accountant Who Broke Scarface: Capone's Rise, Reign, and Ruin

(00:00:00) The Accountant Who Broke Scarface: Capone's Rise, Reign, and Ruin (00:00:54) Brooklyn to the Four Deuces (00:02:25) The Architecture of Control (00:04:26) The Escalation (00:06:34) Valentine's Day, 1929 (00:08:06) The Untouchables and the Tax Men (00:09:35) Trial and Conviction (00:10:59) The Island and the Disease (00:12:29) Palm Island Al Capone controlled a city. He owned politicians, bribed police captains, and ran an operation grossing one hundred million dollars a year during Prohibition. What he never saw coming was the one threat he never bothered to take seriously — a federal tax case. This episode traces the full arc of Capone's rise, from the Brooklyn streets where a teenage Alphonse Capone first learned the margins of organized crime under Frankie Yale, to the moment Johnny Torrio handed him Chicago at the age of twenty-six. Along the way, the story moves through the Four Deuces on South Wabash Avenue, the takeover of Cicero on election day 1924, the fortified Hawthorne Inn, and the Green Mill jazz club where Capone conducted business from a booth with clear sightlines to the door. The violence escalates — the assassination of Dean O'Banion, more than a thousand rounds fired at the Hawthorne Inn, and eventually the St. Valentine's Day Massacre on North Clark Street in 1929, which shifted public opinion decisively against Capone. Eliot Ness and the Untouchables dismantled his bootlegging supply chain. Then came the IRS, and the assumption that no gangster in American history had yet been forced to confront: income tax evasion can do what bullets cannot. From federal prison in Atlanta to Alcatraz, to the Palm Island house in Miami where syphilis claimed what the courts could not, this is the definitive chapter-by-chapter account of how the most recognizable criminal in American history was brought down by an accountant. Scarface, Syphilis, and the Empire Nobody Could Take From Him

(00:00:00) Scarface, Syphilis, and the Empire Nobody Could Take From Him (00:00:58) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:02:42) Building the Empire (00:04:37) North Clark Street (00:06:16) The Tax Case (00:08:08) Alcatraz and the Silence Inside (00:09:48) Palm Island (00:11:13) What It Means Al Capone didn't fall the way the legend says he did. Eliot Ness made headlines. The tax evasion trial made history. Alcatraz made him a symbol. But what truly dismantled the man who once controlled an entire American city was a disease he'd carried for years — neurosyphilis eating quietly through his mind while he ran an empire generating a hundred million dollars a year. This episode traces the complete arc. Capone arrives in Chicago in 1919, a twenty-year-old from Brooklyn with three knife scars on his cheek and an education from Frankie Yale's operation. He apprentices under Johnny Torrio at the Four Deuces on South Wabash, learning how corruption, violence, and commerce interlock. When Torrio retires after a near-fatal shooting in 1925, Capone inherits the Chicago Outfit at twenty-six and transforms it into the most powerful criminal organisation in American history. The episode moves through the key chapters: the violent seizure of Cicero's government in 1924, the Hawthorne Inn as a bulletproof fortress, the thousand-round convoy attack Capone survived at lunch. Then North Clark Street — February 14, 1929 — where seven members of Bugs Moran's North Side Gang were lined up and executed in a garage, shifting American public opinion against Capone forever. From the St. Valentine's Day Massacre to the IRS closing in, from the Untouchables investigation to a federal courtroom that put organised crime on trial through a ledger rather than a gun — and finally to Palm Island, Miami, where Capone died in January 1947, his mind reduced by disease to a fraction of what it had been. Episode 12 of the Al Capone: The Chicago Outfit documentary series. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Scarface to Alcatraz: The Full Rise and Ruin of Al Capone

(00:00:00) Scarface to Alcatraz: The Full Rise and Ruin of Al Capone (00:02:23) Building the Empire (00:04:55) Valentine's Day and the Beginning of the End (00:06:45) The Tax Case No One Believed Would Work (00:08:17) Atlanta, Alcatraz, and the Disease That Waited (00:10:19) Palm Island and the Final Years Al Capone didn't fall the way the movies told it. Eliot Ness and the Untouchables made great headlines, but it was the United States tax code — and a disease quietly consuming his mind — that finally brought down the man who once owned Chicago. This episode traces the complete arc of Capone's life and criminal career, from his expulsion from a Brooklyn school at fourteen to his death at Palm Island in 1947. We follow his apprenticeship under Frankie Yale on the streets of Brooklyn, his move north at Johnny Torrio's invitation to the Four Deuces on South Wabash Avenue, and the step-by-step education in how a criminal empire actually functions. When Prohibition handed organised crime the American alcohol supply chain, Capone was perfectly positioned to scale what Torrio had built. The episode covers the violent seizure of Cicero in April 1924, the fortified command centres at the Hawthorne Inn and the Lexington Hotel, and the empire generating roughly a hundred million dollars a year from speakeasies, bootlegging, gambling, and structural political corruption. It examines the St. Valentine's Day Massacre on North Clark Street — seven men executed in a garage, Capone in Florida with an alibi — and the moment public tolerance for organised crime began to collapse. Then come the twin forces that destroyed him: the IRS building a tax evasion case no gangster thought could work, and neurosyphilis slowly eroding the sharp mind that had outmanoeuvred everyone. Federal prison in Atlanta, then Alcatraz. A man who once ran a city, released in 1939 with the mental acuity of a child. Dead at forty-eight in Miami. This is the story of power, paranoia, and a fall that no amount of money or muscle could prevent. This episode includes AI-generated content.

From Brooklyn Streets to the Rock: The Complete Capone Story

(00:00:00) From Brooklyn Streets to the Rock: The Complete Capone Story (00:00:37) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:02:21) Building the Empire (00:04:15) Peak Power and the Massacre (00:05:49) The Method Nobody Believed Would Work (00:07:19) Atlanta and the Problem of Corruption (00:08:58) The Disease That Was Already Winning (00:10:18) Palm Island Al Capone didn't start as a boss. He started as a bouncer with scars on his cheek and a talent for learning from dangerous men. This episode traces the complete rise and ruin of the most powerful criminal in American history — from a Brooklyn kid working Frankie Yale's door, to a twenty-six-year-old handed control of Chicago's entire underworld by Johnny Torrio. We follow the Prohibition boom that turned a local vice operation into a hundred-million-dollar empire. The election theft in Cicero. The Hawthorne Inn fortress. The thousand rounds fired through its windows in 1926. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre on North Clark Street in 1929, and the moment public tolerance for Capone's world finally collapsed. Then come the forces that brought him down — Eliot Ness and the Untouchables dismantling his breweries, and the IRS quietly building a tax evasion case that no gangster believed could work. The conviction. The federal prison in Atlanta, where Capone immediately rebuilt his influence. The decision to create a place he couldn't buy: Alcatraz. This episode also confronts what Alcatraz was actually designed to do — and what it did to the man inside it. Neurosyphilis quietly eroded Capone's mind throughout his imprisonment. By the time he was released in 1939, the sharpness was gone. He retreated to his Palm Island estate in Miami, surrounded by family, increasingly detached from reality, and died in January 1947. A complete portrait of the man who ran a city, and everything it cost him. This episode includes AI-generated content.

The Courtroom That Changed Everything: Capone's Empire on Trial

(00:00:00) The Courtroom That Changed Everything: Capone's Empire on Trial (00:01:02) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:02:41) Building the Empire (00:04:49) The Massacre and the Turning Point (00:06:15) The Tax Case (00:08:49) Prison, Decline, and the End Al Capone walked into a Chicago federal courtroom on June 6, 1931, expecting a negotiated plea. His lawyers had arranged it. The prosecutors had agreed to it. Then Judge James Wilkerson set the deal aside — and everything Capone had built his empire on, the belief that money could buy any outcome, collapsed in a single morning. This episode traces the full story from the beginning. Born in Brooklyn to Italian immigrant parents, Capone dropped out of school at fourteen and found his education on the street, working under racketeer Frankie Yale before Johnny Torrio called him to Chicago in 1919. At the Four Deuces on South Wabash Avenue, Capone learned not just muscle, but the infrastructure of organized crime: how to bribe police, manage politicians, and build a criminal operation that functioned like a business. Prohibition handed that operation a hundred-million-dollar industry. By his mid-twenties, Capone controlled bootlegging networks, gambling houses, and the officials meant to stop him. He took over an entire suburb — Cicero — at gunpoint during a 1924 election, and fortified the Hawthorne Inn as his armored headquarters. His empire generated an estimated sixty million dollars a year in personal income. Then came the St. Valentine's Day Massacre on February 14, 1929: seven men executed in a garage on North Clark Street. The public's ambivalent tolerance of Capone evaporated. Eliot Ness and his Untouchables raided his supply chains. And the IRS built the tax evasion case that no gangster thought could work — until it did. This is the chapter where the empire faces the courtroom. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Scar Tissue: How the IRS Brought Down the Man Who Owned Chicago

(00:00:00) Scar Tissue: How the IRS Brought Down the Man Who Owned Chicago (00:00:49) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:02:15) The Making of an Empire (00:04:13) Valentine's Day (00:05:27) Eliot Ness and the Tax Men (00:07:22) The Trial (00:09:04) The Destruction (00:10:46) Palm Island (00:11:36) Why the Tax Case Actually Worked He bribed judges, controlled suburbs, and grossed an estimated hundred million dollars a year. Al Capone was, by any measure, untouchable — and he knew it. No gangster in Chicago's underworld believed a tax case could end the man who had engineered the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and walked away clean. That confidence was the fatal mistake. This episode traces the complete arc of Capone's rise and ruin. From Brooklyn tenements and Frankie Yale's operation, through Johnny Torrio's mentorship on South Wabash Avenue, to the fortified Hawthorne Inn in Cicero — where a thousand rounds fired through the windows at lunch couldn't touch him. We examine how Capone turned Prohibition into a criminal empire of extraordinary scale: rigged elections, bribed precincts, and a supply chain running wide open in plain sight. Then February 14, 1929. Seven members of the North Side Gang lined up against the wall at 2122 North Clark Street. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre changed everything — not because it threatened Capone directly, but because it changed the public, and the public changed the politics. The pressure on Washington intensified. Eliot Ness and the Untouchables raided breweries and dismantled supply chains, but it was the IRS's meticulous reconstruction of Capone's unreported income that put him in the dock. The trial that every gangster dismissed as a nuisance sent America's most powerful crime boss to federal prison in Atlanta, then to Alcatraz — where syphilis, already eating at his mind, left him diminished beyond recognition. He died at Palm Island, Miami, in January 1947. He was 48. This episode includes AI-generated content.

From Brooklyn to Broken: The Full Arc of Capone's Rise and Ruin

(00:00:00) From Brooklyn to Broken: The Full Arc of Capone's Rise and Ruin (00:00:46) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:02:12) Building the Empire (00:04:07) The Violence That Changed Everything (00:06:25) Eliot Ness and the Limits of Pressure (00:08:09) The Tax Case (00:09:57) Prison and the Disease That Finished Him (00:12:20) What Ness Actually Did Al Capone didn't just run Chicago — he owned it. From his Brooklyn beginnings under Frankie Yale to his takeover of Cicero and the fortified command post at the Hawthorne Inn, this episode traces how a teenager expelled from school became the most powerful organised crime figure in American history. At its peak, Capone's Prohibition-era empire was generating an estimated one hundred million dollars a year. His model wasn't brute force alone — it was systemic corruption. Bought judges, cooperative police, and politicians on the payroll formed the invisible scaffolding beneath every speakeasy and bootlegging truck. When rivals refused to fold, the violence was total. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre on North Clark Street in February 1929 — seven members of Bugs Moran's gang executed in a garage — marked the moment public sympathy finally turned. But it wasn't Eliot Ness who ended Capone. The Untouchables made headlines and harassed the operation, but the killing blow came from a quiet IRS agent armed with financial records. A tax evasion conviction in 1931 sent Capone first to Atlanta Federal Penitentiary, then to Alcatraz. Neurosyphilis, contracted years earlier, was slowly destroying his mind. By the time he was released, the man who had once occupied fifty rooms at the Metropole Hotel was retreating to his Palm Island estate in Miami — diminished, confused, and forgotten by the organisation he had built. This is the full arc: the myth, the machine, and the collapse. This episode includes AI-generated content.

The Massacre, the Empire, and the War Capone Could Not Win

(00:00:00) The Massacre, the Empire, and the War Capone Could Not Win (00:01:30) Brooklyn to Chicago (00:03:24) Building the Empire (00:05:38) The North Side Problem (00:07:24) The Turn in Public Opinion (00:08:22) The Tax Case No One Expected (00:09:54) Alcatraz and the Long Decline (00:11:26) What the Massacre Actually Settled On the morning of February 14, 1929, seven members of Bugs Moran's North Side Gang were executed in a garage on North Clark Street. Al Capone was in Florida. He had an alibi. Everyone knew it was him anyway. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre is the moment the Capone era crystallised in the public imagination — but to understand it, you have to start at the beginning. This episode covers the full foundational arc of Capone's rise. Born in Brooklyn in 1899 to Italian immigrants, Capone learned the grammar of organised crime under Frankie Yale before Johnny Torrio brought him to Chicago at twenty years old. At the Four Deuces on South Wabash, he absorbed everything: money flows, supplier networks, the corruption arrangements that kept a criminal empire standing. When Torrio stepped away in 1925 after his own near-assassination, Capone — twenty-six years old — inherited an operation generating an estimated one hundred million dollars a year. The Cicero takeover in 1924 made the suburbs Capone territory. The Hawthorne Inn became his fortress headquarters. The 1926 convoy attack by the North Side Gang — more than a thousand rounds fired into the building while Capone was having lunch — confirmed what everyone already sensed: this was a war with no natural ending. The North Side problem never went away. O'Banion, then Weiss, then Bugs Moran — each successor more stubborn than the last. The Massacre was meant to end it. It didn't. And the heat it generated would accelerate everything that followed. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Fall of the Untouchable: Tax, Alcatraz, and Capone's Broken End

(00:00:00) Fall of the Untouchable: Tax, Alcatraz, and Capone's Broken End (00:00:27) Where He Came From (00:02:01) The Cicero Gambit (00:03:16) A Thousand Rounds (00:04:33) What Surviving Did to Him (00:05:53) Valentine's Day, 1929 (00:07:24) The Tax Case Nobody Believed In (00:08:57) The Long Collapse (00:10:17) Palm Island Al Capone survived a thousand machine gun rounds at his Hawthorne Inn headquarters in Cicero, corrupted judges and police across Chicago, and ran a criminal empire generating an estimated one hundred million dollars a year. No gangster believed a tax case would work. They were wrong. This episode covers the full sweep of Capone's story — from his Brooklyn origins and early tutelage under Johnny Torrio at the Four Deuces on South Wabash, through the Cicero takeover in 1924, the September 1926 Hawthorne attack, and the brutal St. Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929 that made the North Side Gang's extermination almost complete. Capone's belief that he was untouchable was the thing that ultimately destroyed him. Eliot Ness and his Untouchables methodically dismantled the bootlegging infrastructure. But it was IRS agent Frank Wilson's forensic accounting — tracing cash flows through a web of shell payments and corrupted intermediaries — that delivered the federal indictment. Capone went to trial in 1931, was convicted on five counts of tax evasion, and drew eleven years. Atlanta Federal Penitentiary first, then Alcatraz, where he was prisoner AZ-85. Syphilis, contracted years earlier and left untreated through paranoia and prison conditions, was destroying his mind. By the time he was released in 1939, the sharpness was gone. He retired to his Palm Island estate in Miami, a man who had once effectively run a city, and died there in January 1947 — diminished, largely ignored, and far from the South Side empire he had built. St. Valentine's Day Massacre: The Crime That Defined an Empire

(00:00:00) St. Valentine's Day Massacre: The Crime That Defined an Empire (00:01:07) Brooklyn to the Four Deuces (00:02:36) The Torrio Education (00:04:06) Cicero and the Fortress Mentality (00:05:54) The Empire at Its Peak (00:07:14) Valentine's Day and the Turn (00:08:32) The Tax Case Nobody Believed Would Work (00:10:03) Atlanta, Alcatraz, and the End of the Mind (00:11:48) What the Fortress Couldn't Stop February 14, 1929. A brick garage on North Clark Street. Seven men lined against a wall, Thompson submachine guns, and a massacre that shook a nation — while Al Capone sat in the Florida sunshine with a perfect alibi. This episode traces the complete arc of how a Brooklyn barber's son became the most powerful criminal in American history, and what it ultimately cost him. We begin where the story demands: Capone's roots in a Naples-immigrant household in Brooklyn, his departure from school at fourteen, and his entry into crime through Frankie Yale's orbit. The scars, the nickname he despised, and the calculated image he built in their place all reveal something essential — Capone understood power as performance long before he held any real power at all. From Brooklyn, the episode moves through his arrival in Chicago under Johnny Torrio's mentorship at the Four Deuces on South Wabash. Here Capone learned not just muscle but method: how money moved through layered operations, how politicians were managed, how bribes outperformed bullets when the math was right. Prohibition turned that education into a hundred-million-dollar-a-year enterprise. We examine the seizure of Cicero in 1924, the fortified Hawthorne Inn headquarters, the 1926 coordinated assault that fired over a thousand rounds into that building while Capone ate lunch inside — and survived. And we arrive at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre: the moment Capone's war against Bugs Moran's North Side Gang produced an act of violence so brazen it guaranteed federal attention would never relent. This is the episode where Capone's empire reaches its peak — and where the forces that will dismantle it begin to gather. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Cicero, the Hawthorne Inn, and the Empire Capone Built

(00:00:00) Cicero, the Hawthorne Inn, and the Empire Capone Built (00:00:32) The Apprentice from Brooklyn (00:02:09) The Suburb Problem (00:03:46) Election Day, April First (00:05:15) The Hawthorne Inn (00:06:47) The Attack That Confirmed Everything (00:08:12) February Fourteen, Nineteen Twenty-Nine (00:10:01) The Case Nobody Thought Would Work (00:12:08) The Long Collapse (00:14:00) What Cicero Actually Meant What does it take to turn an entire town into your personal property? On April 1, 1924, Al Capone answered that question in Cicero, Illinois — with two hundred armed men, open daylight violence, and the cold precision of a man who had already spent years learning how power actually works. This episode traces the critical bridge between Capone's apprenticeship under Johnny Torrio and his full ascent as the undisputed boss of the Chicago Outfit. We follow him from the Four Deuces on South Wabash — Torrio's four-story operation combining saloon, gambling, and vice — into the political crisis created by reform Mayor William Dever, whose genuine pressure on bootlegging inside Chicago forced the organization west into Cicero. What followed was one of the most brazen political seizures in American history. Capone deployed hundreds of gunmen across Cicero on election day, pulling poll workers from booths, beating candidates, kidnapping a precinct captain, and directing voters at gunpoint. His brother Frank was shot and killed by police in the chaos. Two days later, Capone stood at the funeral looking devastated — and Cicero was his. From the Hawthorne Inn on West Twenty-Second Street, with its bulletproof shutters, private phone exchange, and rotating armed guards, Capone ran the most sophisticated criminal organisation America had yet seen — an empire generating an estimated hundred million dollars a year. This is the chapter where the apprentice becomes the architect. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Scarface Ascendant: From Brooklyn Streets to Chicago's Underworld Throne

(00:00:00) Scarface Ascendant: From Brooklyn Streets to Chicago's Underworld Throne (00:01:27) Brooklyn to Wabash Avenue (00:03:38) The Empire Takes Shape (00:05:49) Why Torrio Left When He Did (00:07:41) Valentine's Day, Nineteen Twenty-Nine (00:09:15) The Tax Case Nobody Believed Would Work (00:11:22) Atlanta, Alcatraz, and What Came After (00:13:20) What Torrio Understood That Capone Did Not He was twenty-six years old, Brooklyn-born, and barely a decade out of school when Johnny Torrio handed him the keys to the most powerful criminal organization in America. This episode traces how Al Capone got ready for that moment — and what he did with it. We begin in the streets of Brooklyn, where a teenage Capone learned the trade under racketeer Frankie Yale at the Harvard Inn: how to manage men, how to absorb violence as a business tool, and how to read a room before it turned dangerous. The three scars on his left cheek — the ones that gave him the name he despised — came out of those years. Then comes Chicago. Torrio's Four Deuces on South Wabash Avenue. A four-story vertical map of organized vice, with a bar on the ground floor, gambling above it, a brothel above that, and Torrio's offices at the top. Capone started as a bouncer and bartender, and spent those first years watching how political corruption didn't just support the operation — it was the operation. Prohibition transformed everything. When the Eighteenth Amendment handed bootlegging to whoever was bold enough to take it, the Torrio-Capone organization was positioned to dominate Chicago's South Side. By 1924 they had gone further — seizing the suburb of Cicero on election day through armed intimidation, establishing the Hawthorne Inn as a fortified command center beyond Chicago's city authority. The North Side gangs — O'Banion, Hymie Weiss, eventually Bugs Moran — refused to yield. The September 1926 motorcade attack on the Hawthorne Inn, more than a thousand rounds fired, Capone face-down on a restaurant floor, tells you exactly how volatile the empire had become. And yet he was still standing. That matters enormously for what comes next. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Brooklyn to Chicago: How Capone Took Command of a City

(00:00:00) Brooklyn to Chicago: How Capone Took Command of a City (00:01:50) The Johnny Torrio Education (00:03:58) Cicero and the Fortress (00:05:58) The Peak and the Massacre (00:07:58) The Tax Case Nobody Believed Would Work (00:09:45) Prison and the Long Collapse (00:11:42) What the Four Deuces Actually Taught Al Capone didn't stumble into power — he studied it. Born in Brooklyn to Italian immigrants, he dropped out of school at fourteen and found his real education on the streets under Frankie Yale, learning how organised crime functions, who gets paid, and how violence works as a management tool rather than a last resort. Those lessons would carry him further than anyone around him could have predicted. The pivotal moment came in 1919, when Johnny Torrio summoned Capone to Chicago. At the Four Deuces on South Wabash Avenue, Capone worked his way through a four-storey criminal enterprise — bar, gambling den, brothel, and headquarters — watching Torrio run an organisation that stayed alive through the systematic corruption of police, politicians, and judges. When Prohibition arrived and handed organised crime a hundred-million-dollar industry with no legal competition, both men recognised it for what it was: a gift. By 1924, Capone had outgrown an apprentice's role. He seized the suburb of Cicero in a single violent election-day takeover, established his fortress headquarters at the Hawthorne Inn, and survived a thousand-round assassination attempt that proved his security arrangements weren't paranoia — they were engineering. When Johnny Torrio walked away after his own near-fatal shooting, he handed the entire Chicago operation to a twenty-six-year-old who already knew exactly what to do with it. This first chapter of the series lays the foundation: where Capone came from, what he learned, and how a Brooklyn kid became the most powerful criminal in American history.
