Al Majlis is a space for meaningful conversation — where scholars, thinkers, and guests from diverse backgrounds gather to share ideas, stories, and reflections. Inspired by the traditional majlis — a gathering of minds — each episode invites open dialogue on culture, faith, and the questions that shape our world today.
In this episode I was joined by Sh. Bilal Bashuaib, a well-spoken teacher of the Quran who emphasises a reflective approach towards the words of Allah. This episode is not simply a knowledge-based treatment of select topics from the sciences of the Quran, rather, it is a reflective approach, designed to rekindle your connection with the Book sent for our guidance.
Join us as we go through topics from Ulum al-Quran, reflecting upon them to strengthen our relationship with Allah. - Musa.

What Do Shias Believe? w/ Farid al-Bahraini
When I heard that Farid al-Bahraini was coming to the UK, I spoke with the organiser of his tour to see the possibility of having him appear on al-Majlis. Alhamdulillah, Sh. Ali Hassan (the organiser) was very accommodating (may Allah reward hm).
Shi'ism is a topic that Farid has engaged with for many years. His approach is both academic and critical, so this podcast will give you a brief insight into Shia beliefs, alongside some academic critiques of their theology. - Musa

The Reality of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani
An eagerly awaited episode of Al-Majlis.
In this episode, I sat down with someone close to home (literally)—my father Ustadh Adnan Rashid—to discuss the nature of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, the founder of the Qadiani movement.
There are various methods that Sunni Muslims utilise to refute the claims of the Qadiani religion. However, in this episode, we chose to examine the nature of the religion’s founder. Who was he? What was his character like? What did he stand for?
Examining the character of this individual is of utmost importance. Many Muslims, even those who have heard about the Qadiani religion, do not have a detailed understanding of Qadianism, nor its founder. By understanding his character, we are able to further prove the notion that this man, along with his religion are far from the gates of Islam.

May Allah accept this from us and make it of benefit - Musa
