Have you noticed how uncomfortable it can be to rest?
How silence feels strange. How steady love can feel boring, while the highs and lows feel like home. How you create urgency and pressure without ever deciding to.
We call it being driven. Having a lot of energy.
Often it's something else: a nervous system that learned survival as its baseline, and stayed there.
In this episode:
→ Why stress starts to feel like aliveness - and the chemistry underneath it
→ How it shows up in work, relationships, and how we get things done
→ Why your nervous system recognises instability as love
→ What real aliveness actually feels like in the body
→ Simple practices to metabolise stress and come back to yourself

Ep 70. Beyond Burnout: From Survival to Aliveness with Nicolette Lazarus
So many women are exhausted right now - running on empty, even while doing everything "right."
It's rarely about doing too much. It's about how long you've held it all together, wearing the mask, while quietly disappearing from your own life.
This week I sit down with Nicolette, founder of Womanship - a platform connecting women and professionals of well-being. She shares her own burnout story, and what it actually took to come home to herself: to take off the mask, to say no, to trust her own body again.
We get into:
why so many women feel exhausted even when they're doing everything "right"
the difference between stress and a truly regulated nervous system
the quiet signs of survival mode
how suppressed emotion becomes unease, then burnout
the patterns we inherit through our family line
a simple way back to your body and your needs
Because the way out was never more thinking, more fixing, more pushing yourself into the ground. It's about reconnecting - with yourself, your body, your desires.
So slow down. Come listen. And maybe, just for one episode, let yourself stop performing.
You can connect with Nicolette and her work via her website: https://womanship.co/

Ep. 69 How Your Nervous System Capacity Sets The Ceiling
Expansion is happening all the time - whether we act for it or not. The question is whether your nervous system can hold it.
Expansion — in work, relationships, or life itself — brings more life-force, more to feel, more intensity, more responsibility, more visibility, more honesty… more to hold.
When the body doesn’t feel safe, the nervous system defaults to survival. And from survival, we don’t expand — we protect, contract, or push away what feels like too much.
True growth requires more than strategy or mindset. It requires an identity shift — and an expanded nervous system capacity.
In this episode, I explore what limits capacity, how subconscious interference keeps us small, my own journey of expanding capacity, and — most importantly — how to expand yours.
If you’re ready to go deeper, join us inside Embodied Arts Collective Membership, where we practice unwinding old patterns and expanding your capacity to truly receive and hold what you’re calling into your life.
