Aliza Sherman, a 53-year-old in-vitro fertilization nurse and mother of four, was stabbed 11 times March 24, 2013, in downtown Cleveland. She died later that day, and a decade later, her murder remains unsolved. News accounts of her brutal murder in broad daylight often describe Aliza Sherman in a sentence or two. But from those few short lines, you can't begin to understand the depths of who she was or what she meant to so many. Hosted by Cleveland journalists Mike Butz and Sara Shookman, this podcast will introduce you to Aliza, update you on her case, and explore the ways she made — and continues to make — a difference in people's lives.
