how to use a Mac, NVDA & Chromevox
Today, Alvaro, welcomes Charmaine, an assistive tech blind woman expert from Canada who is very smart, and very aware of the lack of resources available to learn how to use a Mac with Voiceover, NVDA free screen reader on Windows PC’s and Chromevox as a blind person.
SO, she putted together an online service called “The Accessible Learning lounge”,
to address that need, by offering pre-recorded lessons, one on one tutoring sessions and more…
She said “
For a long time, I have wanted to create a space for people to learn what they need on their own terms and to make learning fun and enjoyable.”

Blind Catholic American woman
On the show today, Alvaro who is a very Catholic person, talks wit his guest, Lorna DesRoses,a Catholic blind woman who lives in Boston, about the importance for them, of “THE CATHOLIC FAITH”. She is a graduate of the Theological Institute of St. John Seminary in Brighton, MA, and for many years, She has served on the Multicultural Ministry Team that assists parishes and institutions in providing pastoral care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner to ethnic /cultural communities so they will know that they are welcomed, included and valued as part of the life of the Archdiocese of Boston.
