Ep. 31: Wirehaired Pointing Griffon: My Honest Review After One Year (Hunting, and Family Dog)
After our first full year with a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, I figured it was time to sit down and share my honest thoughts on the breed.Quick disclaimer up front: I’m not a professional dog trainer. I’m just a regular guy who wanted a solid family dog that could also hunt, and learned a lot along the way sometimes the hard way.In this video I talk about:Why I chose the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon in the first placeWhat he was like as a puppyHow training for hunting actually went for a normal personSome of our real hunting experiences in the fieldAnd my overall opinion after a year of living with him every dayNo hype, no perfect training sessions, no pretending everything went smoothly. Just what it’s actually been like raising, training, and hunting over a Griff when you’re figuring things out as you go.If you’re considering this breed or already have one and want to compare notes I think you’ll relate.👇 Drop a comment if you’ve got a Griff, are thinking about one, or just have questions. Always down to talk dogs and hunting.
