AIFJ12: Jesus 25 - A Protestant Conference Deepened Our Reverence For Catholic Liturgy

Welcome to the final episode of AIFJ Season 1!!! Kipsy and Ramil speak on how attending the Jesus 25 Conference in Orlando, Florida changed their relationships with God, their outlook on ministry, and their entire lives forever. Their hearts were set ablaze once again for ecumenism and Christian unity, especially between Catholics and Protestants, as well as for authentic revival that isn’t just “hype” or a Church event. They speak to how more and more Protestants are no longer viewing their communion as a symbol but rather are slowly believing in consubstantiation, which isn’t transubstantiation, but still affirms Christ’s true presence in the bread and wine, and how this is bringing about a “Communion Revival” in their churches. Kipsy and Ramil believe that Church unity and revival will come through ALL CHRISTIANS one day believing in true presence in the Eucharist. Our apologies for the difference in audio quality there; we are grateful we were able to extract the audio from the video. (And thank you to our friend Basilio for attempting to fix it in the midst of becoming a new father!) Also, we did not realize until after the fact that we recorded this episode during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity celebrated by the Catholic Church! SO GOD! Together with the help of the Holy Spirit and their love of music they are on mission to help others be open to an encounter with the living God. AIFJ10: Unlearning Catholic Stereotypes For Personal & Church Renewal (Ft. Matt Pana)

Welcome to another episode of AIFJ!!! Kipsy and Ramil speak with their dear friend and brother-in-Christ, Matt Pana! You may know him from his big touring drummer era for big musicians like Mitchell Grey, Us The Duo, and Tori Kelly, or from his contributions to the Catholic Church space through Array of Hope and Young Catholic Professionals. Matt shares his testimony of how he moved from going through the motions to complete surrender to the Lord, touching upon cultural identity confusion as a first-generation filipino-American cradle Catholic, revival amongst Asian YouTuber musicians, and the impact of both Protestantism and Catholic apologetics on his journey back to the Catholic faith. They also address misconceptions regarding the Catholic Church, fake caricatures we often make about both traditional and charismatic expressions of the faith, and spiritual lukewarmness. AIFJ9: Can Trad Catholic Priests Support the Charismatic? (Ft. Fr. H. Todd Carter)

Welcome to another episode of AIFJ!!! Kipsy and Ramil welcome their pastor, Fr. H. Todd Carter, who has been a priest of the Diocese of Trenton in New Jersey since his ordination in 2011. He converted to Catholicism in college, loves playing strategy board games and is a supporter of traditional Catholic liturgy and music. In today’s episode, we speak about how Traditional Latin Mass drew Fr. Carter to Catholicism, reverence of the Eucharist and at the Mass, and Fr. Carter’s view of charismatic Catholicism as a traditional-leaning priest in a traditional-leaning parish. References: CCC 1124 Romans 12:1 Tune in every month! AIFJ6: We Honeymooned At The Jubilee of Youth! (Live from Rome)

Welcome to another episode of AIFJ!!! Kipsy and Ramil record this episode live from their quaint hostel in Rome, Italy to share their experiences and reflections on the Jubilee of Youth thus far (not including the fact we received a marital blessing from Pope Leo after the recording of this episode!). We are still SHOOK by the fact we could call this our [delayed] honeymoon, and what better way to celebrate our almost one year of marriage than with the greater universal Church! This episode is much more casual and we were recording on my phone (hence not the greatest quality) so just imagine this is basically a little voice memo update we are sending to you, our dear friends!
