Chinedu Victor on Lagos to Los Angeles, Making Over 20k in one day selling Art, & Belief

In this episode of Altevrse, I sit down with Victor to unpack a journey that feels bigger than just sports or art. We talk about what it really took for him to leave Nigeria and come to the United States on a basketball scholarship — the pressure, the expectations, and the quiet sacrifices that don’t always get seen. But life shifted. During a lonely season, when things weren’t unfolding the way he imagined, Victor found himself flipping into art. What started as an outlet became something deeper — a new language, a new identity, a new path. This conversation is about reinvention. It’s about turning isolation into creation. It’s about being the kind of person who makes things happen instead of waiting for permission. If you’ve ever had to pivot… If you’ve ever felt alone while chasing something bigger… If you’ve ever had to rebuild your identity from scratch… This one’s for you.
