Comedians Mark Steel and James Gill chat all things Crystal Palace - and beyond. Love Jefferson Lerma? Crazy about Chris Richards? Adore Adam Wharton? This is the podcast for you. Want to listen to a podcast while you can possibly hear Mark's washing machine in the background because son Elliot put on a wash before leaving the house? Again, this is the pod for you.
Mark Steel is an icon of stand-up comedy and is best known for Mark Steel's In Town, The Mark Steel Lectures and What The F*** Is Going On? James Gill runs and MCs the multi-award-winning comedy nights Always Be Comedy and is a writer and TV warm-up.
We get frank (but not Thomas Frank, thank you very much! More on that on the pod) about Palace and Pierre Sage. We talk about the 5-0 drubbing at - let's face it - the very good Brighton. We talk Sage - at length. We discuss the runners and riders in the frame for the Palace job if Sage goes.
And correspondence, please do send it in to: theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com And please do rate, review, subscribe and all that malarkey! Thanks a lot, guys. Up the Palace!

Always Be Palace episode 10: "that" Benitez save, Lerma love, Lyon next and Ian Wright debate
It's episode 10! We reflect on "that" save by Walter Benitez. A classic case of a save turning an entire match. We bask in the warm afterglow of "that" 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
We also look to Lyon, and to Graham Taylor. And there's a chat on Ian Wright.
And we ask you, dear listener: Wharton or Cabaye? (James is Wharton ALL THE WAY).
Big thanks as always, guys. Correspondence: theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com

Always Be Palace episode 9: can we have Marc Guehi back for, say £8, then?
Big thanks to everyone for getting on board. We monitor the chart positions from around the world, and so extend a cheery welcome to you all! Great to be back. We have a good natter about Manchester City from a mostly Palace angle, and - as expected - take a few tangents along the way when it comes to alleged corruption across the sporting world. Ultimately, please can we get Marc Guehi back for £8?
We chat the Bristol defeat - did you all know about it? We knew - but a lot of our pals did not.
Please rate, review and subscribe and all that caper.

Always Be Palace episode 8: club leaks, Glasner reaction predictions, King Tyrick
It's a lively one today, guys! We predict what sort of reaction Oliver Glasner might get when Forest come to Palace after the international break, we heap praise on the great Tyrick Mitchell, we share a few Palace stories from down the years, we rage against VAR (I mean, seriously, what is it really offering other than frustration) and the long international break.
As ever, please email theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com with any questions etc
And please do rate, review and subscribe and all that malarkey!
Much love. Eagles!

Always Be Palace episode 7: a resounding European win, new chant "attempts"
Straight off the bat - this ep contains some punchy language. Please be advised if there are nippers in the car, for example. Mark and James share a couple of anecdotes where the air goes a shade of blue.
In this episode, Mark does a terrific job of reminding James that winning a match 4-0 in Europe is not a regular occurrence. James attempts three new Palace chants (and regrets it in real time - see him blush on YouTube!). We look ahead to the Leeds game this weekend. And generally feel pretty good about things?
Big thanks as ever. And please get in touch via theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com
Eagles!
Oh, and please do rate, review, subscribe and all that malarkey.

Always Be Palace episode 6: Mark in Cornwall, Ipswich debacle, let's all shout: "Timber!"
It's episode 6! And Mark is on tour in Cornwall! Kudos to the great man for making the magic happen in the middle of the street (you can watch on YouTube! Behold, the magic of the internet!).
We dissect the Ipswich loss. But wasn't Timber brilliant, eh? Reckon we could all shout "Timber!" every time he brilliantly clatters into someone? And what about Jorgen Strand Larsen?! Sensational.
But there's no getting away from it - the defence is, ultimately, a mess.
Also, real talk, James (let's all pretend I'm not writing this) had to dash as my dinner was ready.

Always Be Palace episode 5: much fun vs Boro, Sage "The Godfather", a way back for Mateta and Sarr?!
Always Be Palace hosts Mark Steel had enormous fun at Palace vs Boro last night, on a night when JSL was terrific. We run the rule over the new lads, and also worship Kamada's goal (and indeed the man himself). We also look forward to the Ipswich match.
Any questions, please email theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com
And please do rate, review and subscribe! Big thanks, one and all. We're super grateful at you getting on board.

Always Be Palace episode 4: post-City therapy, trying to broker an HF return, and the upcoming trilogy
Hosts Mark Steel and James Gill enjoy group therapy as they try and come to terms with a bit of a tonking at Selhurst Park (4-1 to Man City, we're loathe to remind you). We appear leaky at the back, and we're not sure where the goals are coming from (but, goshdarnit, we're remaining positive!). We look ahead to the upcoming blockbuster trilogy, and encourage fans to go to the League Cup game vs Middlesbrough (especially good for those who don't have a season ticket - a chance to see the team).
Please email theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com with any questions and so on.
And please remember to rate, review and subscribe.
And we really hope a happy outcome can be reached with the Holmesdale Fanatics!

Always Be Palace episode 3: Mateta controversy, Sarr mystery, get well Chadi, finding the positives and building work at Selhurst
Talk about a potty start to the season: Mateta drama, an injury to lovely Chadi Riad, Sarr rumours... oh, and we lost at Everton. However, you can count on Always Be Palace hosts Mark Steel and James Gill to try and find the positives...
As ever, please email theteam@alwaysbecomedy.com with any questions, etc. And huge thanks to everyone for getting on board so far!
Mark kicks off the episode with some 1940s-style front-line reporting from the building work at Selhurst Park...
(oh, and as mentioned in the ep - the Kardashian/Palace tweet is by Palace fan MrPringles19)
