Getting to Know: David the King | The Second Half of His Story | Unchecked Power & Broken Families
King David is remembered as a man after God’s own heart — a shepherd turned king, a warrior, a poet, and a leader chosen by God. But his reign over Israel was far from perfect.
In this video, we walk through David’s story from the book of 2 Samuel to the opening of 1 Kings, tracing his rise to power, his greatest victories, his devastating failures, and the consequences that shaped his legacy.
David’s life is a mirror. It reveals the danger of unchecked power, the weight of sin, the pain of broken families, and the hope found in repentance. His story ultimately points forward to the coming of a greater King - Yeshua.
