Rebbetzin Dena Schusterman--The Power of My Parents' Legacy

Rebbetzin Dena Schusterman is an author, educator, and sought after public speaker. She is the mother of eight, and a grandmother, who has been building a Jewish community and nurturing young families as the co-founder of Chabad Intown and Executive Director of Intown Jewish Preschool in Atlanta, GA. A lifelong collector of stories, writing is how Rebbetzin Dena processes the world. Her writing explores the spirituality hidden within ordinary life. Her thoughts led her to pen a beautiful and meaningful memoir about her parents' remarkable story as young Chabad emissaries navigating the counterculture of Berkely, CA in the 1970's. Rebbetzin Dena shares with us the many challenges that her parents went through as they left their families and established a Jewish community in northern California. The strength and resilience that her mother and father demonstrated under difficult circumstances was ultimately transferred to her. Rebbetzin Dena drew upon their strength as she and her husband established their own community at Chabad Intown. Our conversation illustrates that our parents are selected, especially for us, by Hashem himself. Whether our childhood was blissful or dysfunctional, our parents plated within us seeds for our personal development. Every difficulty we had (or have) with our parents is Divinely ordained for our own personal growth. Chana Mason--Cultivating Joy As A Vehicle for Prophecy

You MUST be in a state of joy in order to receive prophecy. Jerusalem-based author, meditation teacher, and somatic coach, Chana Mason, discovered a technique to to creating a beautiful, blissful, and vibrant inner world. If you crave feeling joyful and alive, here is how Chana helps women get there with her new course, Illuminated (link to join on the bottom.) Spirituality can't be regulated or confined to the 3D realm. In order to truly connect with your ability to receive prophecy, you must refine yourself in three areas: Your Body, Your Thoughts, and Your Emotions. Your Body--most of us live in our heads all day long. This is a survival mechanism that has been passed down from generations. However, your spiritual intelligence, also known as your subconscious, communicates with you through bodily sensations. When you slow down and scan your body for sensations--tingling, tightness, pleasure, you will notice that your body is trying to tell you something. Once we find that sensation, and notice where in our bodies we are feeling it, we should sit with it (even if it's uncomfortable.) From there, we can tune into the message that our body is telling us and make informed decisions from that perspective. Those sensations are usually very young parts of us that feel scared or overwhelmed. As adults, we are now able to calm and regulate those younger parts of us that never received the love and care they needed. Your Thoughts--many people feel ashamed of their thoughts and think that they are the only people who think those thoughts. (This is never the truth.) If we think thoughts of pain and punishment, our consciousness becomes constricted and we attract more hurt and negativity. Once we change our thoughts, and use our imagination to think about the happy and positive things we want to see in our lives, we attract them into our lives. When we think about how people we admire have overcome challenges much greater than ours, we begin to see that life is not just about us, and we have more capacity to rise up out of pain than we think. We have the power to turn our challenges into our triumphs. Your Emotions--you can choose your emotional state. You can train your brain to synchronize with the emotions of your heart through meditation and focus. Once you master this, you will be able to step into the emotional state of your choice instantaneously. Chana will guide you through all of the above areas in order to find true happiness in your life. Katia Bolotin-The Secret to Becoming Spiritually Wealthy:Making Torah Relevant in Our Changing World

Katia Bolotin is a Torah educator, speaker, and author, based in Israel. Her thought-provoking articles and audio talks highlight the enduring relevance of Torah in our ever-changing world. Katia's focus on personal growth harmonizes with the Torah's wisdom of how to best cultivate and maintain that growth. Katia is also a pianist, songwriter, and composer of contemporary classical music. Her original musical compositions can be streamed at Katia Bolotin on SoundCloud. Katia released an insightful book called Timeless Torah Wisdom: Making It Relevant For Our Ever-Changing World that is the subject of this interview. Katia teaches us about the importance of spiritual wealth. While many of us chase monetary wealth, a perfect body, and relationships, Katia helps us understand that those things are only the MEANS to and END. The marriage, the flat stomach, the gorgeous house, and everything else that we want are not the end in itself. Katia shows us how to see beyond the superficial qualities of someone or something that we love and look beyond it to see that it was Hashem who created it for us. She gives us a great exercise to teach us how to see Hashem as the Source of everything, and how to internalize that realization. Katia discusses the importance of seeing every obstacle and challenge in our lives at a set up, and not as a set back. She teaches us to apply Torah wisdom to changing our perspective on any challenge, and thereby using Torah to help us OVERCOME our challenges. "When you change the way you see things, the things that you see change." In this poignant conversation, we learn how to go from being a victim to being a victor, just like Joseph did when he found himself thrown into a pit by his brothers. If he thought of himself as being left in a pit to die, he would have drowned in his victimhood. Instead, he looked at himself as being sent into the pit for a higher purpose, which later revealed itself when he became a leader in Egypt, and saved the people (including his own family) from famine. We are all put into this world to achieve our own unique purpose--NOBODY else can do it for us. We may look or dress the same, but our intentions are different; our life experiences are different, and because of that, the way we approach people and situations is different. It is that very difference that helps us carry out our mission. Throughout or conversation, Katia shared beautiful nuggets of knowledge on how to use ancient Torah wisdom to navigate the challenges we face in life today.Katia's Book: Timeless Torah Wisdom: Making It Relevant For An Ever-Changing World, can be purchased on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/Making-Relevant-Timeless-Torah-wisdom/dp/B0FRSWS2B2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=P8LUA7J5YRT9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.pLUw-JJXdgp3xgp_b94jM1HQZa-Ja40W1gMI2Dzrh5PSNiHuwjNeUWAMS-S7yR7poFdbcIrdax3Dw5usrzdhwvQeecJMS0_MdQPKMOsAGOzNH82GA9UaF8krLVJg9wsb4YTsjO6uahoDQw9DEC2s4dx2tQHenUkKe-ZabnISkUllnLHBB5IpJLCQN__m_DeEuyG-sNnkgZ_-9u8wFjzYOu30DlZXJm3O27CNiMMekJs.o3HzKgHQGThEiSOESCXHa15oXXy_Q7hYiJoq_FJkM5I&dib_tag=se&keywords=katia+bolotin&qid=1780415287&sprefix=katia+bol%2Caps%2C176&sr=8-1 (https://www.amazon.com/Making-Relevant-Timeless-Torah-wisdom/dp/B0FRSWS2B2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=P8LUA7J5YRT9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.pLUw-JJXdgp3xgp_b94jM1HQZa-Ja40W1gMI2Dzrh5PSNiHuwjNeUWAMS-S7yR7poFdbcIrdax3Dw5usrzdhwvQeecJMS0_MdQPKMOsAGOzNH82GA9UaF8krLVJg9wsb4YTsjO6uahoDQw9DEC2s4dx2tQHenUkKe-ZabnISkUllnLHBB5IpJLCQN__m_DeEuyG-sNnkgZ_-9u8wFjzYOu30DlZXJm3O27CNiMMekJs.o3HzKgHQGThEiSOESCXHa15oXXy_Q7hYiJoq_FJkM5I&dib_tag=se&keywords=katia+bolotin&qid=1780415287&sprefix=katia+bol%2Caps%2C176&sr=8-1)If you would like to rediscover who you are on a soul level and unlock a life of self-worth and authenticity, click the link to book a free discovery call with Vera Kessler:https://innerlifecoachingwithvera.com/ (https://innerlifecoachingwithvera.com/)Contact email: atrebbetzins@gmail.com (atrebbetzins@gmail.com)
