<p>Away from the ghoulish doctors there are a host of other characters who shaped their fate. From Detective Superintendent Herbert Hannam of the Yard who was put in charge of the Bodkin Adams case and dispatched to sunny Eastbourne, or Detective Inspector Stan Egerton who spent his time in his native Hyde investigating Shipman’s grisly deeds.
