   10.11.2026 - I AM - The Good Shepherd

Who is leading your life, and whose voice are you following? In this week's message from Anchored in Hope, Pastor Tim Franklin continues our series exploring the “I AM” statements of Jesus, turning to John 10:11–17, where Jesus declares, “I am the good shepherd.” Throughout Scripture, God's people are compared to sheep, creatures that are easily distracted, prone to wander, and dependent upon their shepherd for protection and guidance. Just as sheep cannot thrive without someone watching over them, we need Jesus to lead us through life's challenges. Pastor Tim explores four important truths about Jesus as the Good Shepherd: The Good Shepherd Defends His Sheep: When troubles, trials, and spiritual dangers arise, Jesus faithfully watches over and protects those who belong to Him. The Good Shepherd Knows His Sheep Personally: Jesus knows our names, our struggles, our thoughts, and even our tears. Nothing about our lives is hidden from Him. The Good Shepherd Lays Down His Life: Unlike a hired hand who abandons the flock when danger comes, Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross and rose again to provide salvation. The Good Shepherd Will Gather His Sheep: One day, Christ will return and gather all who belong to Him, bringing believers together as one flock under one Shepherd. Through Scripture, familiar examples, and the powerful relationship between a shepherd and his sheep, this message reminds us that following Jesus requires humility, trust, and obedience. Are you following the Good Shepherd, or have you wandered away from His voice? Join Pastor Tim Franklin as we discover the love, sacrifice, protection, and eternal promises of Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd. Scripture References: John 10:11–18; Psalm 23; Isaiah 53:6; Psalm 139:2; 1 Peter 3:18; John 14:2–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17. 10.04.2026 - I AM - The Door

What does Jesus mean when He says, “I am the door”? In this week's message from Anchored in Hope, Pastor Tim Franklin continues our series exploring the “I AM” statements of Jesus, turning to John 10:1–10. Just as a shepherd stands at the entrance of the sheepfold to protect and care for his flock, Jesus reminds us that He is the door through which we find salvation, spiritual nourishment, and lasting security. Pastor Tim explores three important truths about Jesus as the door: The Door to Salvation: Jesus is the only way to eternal life and a relationship with God. The Door to Green Pastures: True satisfaction, spiritual renewal, and abundant life are found in Christ alone. The Door to Peace and Security: Even in life's most difficult moments, we can trust our Shepherd to watch over us, guide us, and never leave us. Through Scripture, personal stories, and the familiar imagery of a shepherd and his sheep, this message encourages believers to find rest in God's promises and challenges those who have not yet accepted Christ to consider His invitation. Have you entered through the door? Join Pastor Tim Franklin as we discover the hope, peace, and eternal security found in Jesus Christ. Scripture References: John 10:1–10; John 14:6; Psalm 23:2–3; Acts 4:12; Revelation 3:20. Anchored in Hope is a weekly sermon podcast from Living Hope Fellowship, a Baptist church in Denison, Texas. 09.27.2026 - I AM - The Light of the World

In John 8:12, Jesus makes a powerful declaration: “I am the light of the world.” But what does it mean to have the Light of Christ not only shining around us, but living within us? Continuing the “I AM” series, Pastor Tim Franklin explores the setting behind Jesus’ words and how the imagery of light would have resonated with those who first heard them. Jesus came to reveal our sin, rescue us from darkness, give us new life, and repurpose us to shine His light into the lives of others. Through Scripture and personal testimony, Pastor Tim challenges believers to consider a simple question: Is the light of Jesus visible in the way we live? When Christ changes our lives, we are called to carry His light beyond the walls of the church and into our homes, workplaces, communities, and everyday conversations. In the good days and the difficult ones, may others see Jesus shining through us.
