Join Kate, Leon and Brian as they guide listeners through the world of Bielefeld University's British and American Studies program one person at a time.
In this episode, Brian, Leon, and Kate sit down with Monika Dieckmann to hear about her own journey back to university.
We follow Monika’s odyssey through academia and life — from her earlier experiences at university and several attempts to return to her studies to raising a family and eventually finding her way back into the lecture hall.
We talk about the different paths life can take, what it means to return to university at a different stage in life, and how sometimes the road to where you want to be is anything but straightforward.
