About Anime Club Podcast

Ever wondered if an anime series is worth sinking your time into? With so many anime out there to choose from, it can be daunting knowing where to start. Each week Kris and Phoebe watch the first 3 episodes of a different anime series and discuss what they like, and whether it would be worth continuing. (Plus they just wanted an excuse to watch more anime, the nerds)

Mushi'd up eyes, Ear Snails and Vibes

This week on Anime Club, we’re watching the first three episodes of Mushishi — Pheebs’ all-time favourite anime. No pressure then!We follow Ginko into a world of strange lifeforms, eerie encounters and stories where the answers aren’t always straightforward. It’s a change of pace from our usual viewing, but will Kris understand why Pheebs loves it so much?Join us as we chat about the opening episodes, the atmosphere and whether Mushishi leaves Kris wanting to watch more.Is Mushishi one of your favourites? Let us know in the comments, and tell us which anime we should try next.Socials:https://nerdculturenetwork.com/Discord: https://discord.gg/Xz28NZkdbhInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/animepodcastuk/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61586401490458

We Came for Bubblegum Crisis, Stayed for Phil’s Collection

This week on Anime Club, me and Pheebs are joined by Phil from Empire Sector to chat about the first episode of Bubblegum Crisis, Tinsel City!Phil knows his stuff when it comes to this one, while me and Pheebs are coming in fresh. Although, with Phil’s vast collection of animation cels and physical media, we couldn’t pass up the chance to have a good chat about growing up with anime too. Safe to say we could have spent a whole episode on that alone! We also talk about Empire Sector’s upcoming events, including Anime Klash at the Plaza Cinema in Liverpool, where the public vote for films in a knockout-style competition, and Geekmas Bazaar at the Liner Hotel. Phil tells us what to expect and why Geekmas is for everyone, whatever your age.A massive thank you to Phil for joining us. It was cracking having him on!Have you watched Bubblegum Crisis? Would you recommend we keep going? And what’s the best thing in your anime collection? Let us know in the comments.Follow Empire Sector and find out more:Instagram:   / empire_sector_uk   (https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUZZTVljRUpDc0ZIbXlsMHBMNjBJNUtNTS1PT3xBSTVJdTV0enhxQjNtUHN3THpFTWF4MHNEdjFDdnNNd1FhSkx1RjRPUHk3NWR1WVRyQ3VYcVZLaHpTSGtaLTRFYU9OMU4yUi1RNGtMdDY5MFZ6UEh0YjFPMW5tR1V0eVNYTXRz&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.instagram.com%2Fempire_sector_uk&v=T1sFtx_MzYE)Website: https://www.empiresector.com/ (https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUZZTVljSC12NW5veEtwLXlBZVBrdFhjM0laaXxBSTVJdTVza2dLNlp0MEgxTndqU1diTWxNc1dvcG1pZk1xTElDUERjYzlsQ2hBb1N0OWhNNVo3UHFEN0JBWktISjhEMFVLLXY4c3EtMEc2aG5rbHZldndpUllQTTBOT2FXNFJ6&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.empiresector.com%2F&v=T1sFtx_MzYE)Anime Klash details and tickets: https://plazacinema.org.uk/PlazaCinem...
