This episode is about ownership.
Not ownership like having all the answers.
Ownership like:
this is my life, so I have to stop acting like somebody else is responsible for running it.
We talk about being misunderstood, surviving more than you give yourself credit for, showing yourself grace, learning how to love when love requires courage, strengthening yourself in the Lord, and recognizing that the people you go through life with can either help you heal or help you self-destruct.
And then we get to the real question:
If you were the CEO of your own life, would you keep yourself employed?
Because maybe you don’t need to be good at everything.
Maybe you need to get really good at one thing, build from there, and stop scattering your energy.

Episode 452: Can I be Bored with you? Feat AL
Today AL joins me for a conversation about a part of relationships we don’t talk about enough: the boring part.
Everybody talks about chemistry.
Passion.
Sex.
Dates.
Travel.
Excitement.
But if I’m seriously thinking about building a life with somebody, I need to know something else:
Can I be bored with you?
Can we sit in the house doing nothing?
Can we run errands?
Can we be quiet without thinking something is wrong?
Can I have a bad day without needing you to entertain me?
Can we still enjoy one another when there’s nothing to post?
This episode is about the difference between excitement and compatibility, being addicted to stimulation, dating for validation, friendship inside relationships, peace, attraction, loneliness, and what love starts looking like after everybody stops performing.

Episode 451: Take the Chains off
This episode is really about freedom.
Not fake freedom.
Not “I don’t care what anybody thinks.”
Real freedom.
The kind where you can tell somebody the truth about where you are financially without feeling less than.
The kind where you can take yourself on an incredible date without waiting for somebody else to validate the experience.
The kind where you realize some of the people who poured into you are still living through your decisions years later.
And the kind where your audience gets to know something important:
You’re actually a good dude.
Not perfect.
Not always right.
But thoughtful.
Loyal.
Trying.
Learning.
And becoming more honest.
