Antioch is the beginning of Christianity. Barnabus and Tarsus brought Saul to Antioch. For a whole year CHRISTIANS taught the word through the disciples! When they were persecuted, the were called “CHRISTIANS of Antioch.” Antioch speaks is a collection of men and women disciples of Christ!

Welcome to today’s devotional in our October series: “Love Is…” based on 1 Corinthians 13. On October 20, we reflect on the truth that love does not dishonor or humiliate.
In 1 Kings 19:1–4, we see Elijah at a low point—afraid, exhausted, and feeling defeated. But God’s response is not one of humiliation or shame. Instead, He meets Elijah with compassion and care. This passage reminds us that true love uplifts, protects dignity, and never seeks to shame others.
