   You Need Therapy! (Part 2)

Part two of the season finale takes “Do we need therapy?” from curiosity to catharsis. With therapist Ali guiding the room, Shay opens up about how an abusive past shaped her “go along to get along” survival mode—and how sobriety, stability, and a safer love rewired what she believed she deserved. Clifton surprises himself with the real breakthrough: realizing how rare it is to be fully seen without performing. It’s funny, tender, and unexpectedly healing—complete with an “Oklahoma” honesty codeword, a near-tearful mic moment, and one last classic CliShay detour into phone-sex-voice chaos. This is the finale that actually sticks the landing. Don’t forget to subscribe and follow at OlasMedia.com (https://olasmedia.com/shows/anything-but-clishay) Here are some notable moments from the finale: 00:00 — Part 2 begins: “You need therapy” recap 00:18 — Ali connects the dots: “Go along to get along” + abusive past 01:37 — Clifton’s fridge analogy: “You can’t just shove it over” 02:05 — Trauma bond chemistry + TikTok truth bomb 03:34 — Shay: sobriety made everything clear 06:06 — “John says jump, I say how high” (survival mode) 08:35 — How Clifton can help: creating safety for Shay’s voice 09:52 — The “Oklahoma” codeword for radical honesty 11:20 — Shay admits she wasn’t fine; Clifton checks in 17:45 — The tearful moment: “I didn’t know if I could be loved” See omnystudio.com/listener (https://omnystudio.com/listener) for privacy information.

   You Need Therapy! (Part 1)

The two-part season finale of Anything But CliShay goes somewhere the hosts have never gone before: couples therapy. Clifton and Shay pull back the curtain on what it looks like to be proactive instead of reactive—examining communication styles, past relationship baggage, conflict avoidance, and what “going along to get along” really costs. With humor, honesty, and zero toxic buzzwords allowed, this episode explores what happens when love is strong—but still curious enough to ask hard questions. Part one sets the table. Part two promises the real work. Some notable moments from this episode: 00:00 — Two-part finale starts: “Do we need therapy?” 00:25 — Shay’s therapy résumé: “Many, many hours” 01:44 — “How crazy we are” (and how in love) 02:12 — What Shay wants from couples therapy (and if she’ll cry) 03:28 — Proactive therapy: “Not like we have issues” 04:12 — The no-secrets policy (and Shay’s fake panic) 05:17 — Finding Ali via AI + the brutal questionnaire 06:59 — Meet Ali at Estes Therapy: “Pretend there’s no mic” 09:12 — Strengths: calm disagreements + “low maintenance” love 10:02 — Passenger seat princess + Caribbean People Time confession See omnystudio.com/listener (https://omnystudio.com/listener) for privacy information.

   Pan(dem)ic! At The Disco

Clifton and Shay rip open their pandemic trauma with zero chill and a lot of side-eye. From Shay’s panic in lockdown New York and vaccine-for-a-paycheck dilemma to Clifton’s fantasy of getting laid off, surfing to Patagonia, and “thinning the herd” into a new Roaring ’20s, they talk fear, money, politics, Mexico trips, and bed-rotting the way they do everything: loud, filthy, and uncomfortably honest. If you’ve ever wondered how we went from stimmy checks to $22 sandwiches and $9.79 McNuggets—and how a global crisis somehow led to San Diego sunsets and “stimmy shimmies” in the bedroom—this episode is your spicy, NSFW debrief on the pan(dem)ic. Explicit language. Questionable opinions. Surprisingly real feelings. Don’t forget to follow and subscribe at OlasMedia.com Some notable moments from this episode include: 01:00 – From “panini” jokes to pure panic in New York 02:45 – Clifton’s fantasy layoff and Patagonia surf-road-trip 05:05 – Four-day workweeks and digging a whole new basement life 09:50 – “Thinning the herd” and the Roaring ’20s that never came 12:30 – Stimmies, stupid money, and McNuggets that almost doubled in price 15:20 – Vaccine ultimatums, job security, and Shay’s spiraling anxiety 18:40 – Fear, control, and what government should have done 24:10 – Catching Covid, oxygen hits, and breathing through the scary part 28:50 – mRNA, DNA, and feeling like a walking science experiment 31:40 – $22 sandwiches, San Diego love, and why the “panini” was worth it See omnystudio.com/listener (https://omnystudio.com/listener) for privacy information.

   Million Dollar Babies?

Clifton and Shay are back—and this week they’re asking the big, uncomfortable question: Why does everyone assume we want kids? From screaming airplane babies to the shocking math that raising a child in Southern California can creep toward a million-dollar investment, the duo takes a brutally honest (and hilariously petty) tour through modern parenthood. Shay breaks down why she’s a proud card-carrying member of “Hell No, I’m Not Pregnant,” while Clifton reflects on how his views have evolved—from “maybe someday” to “my friends with kids look exhausted and broke.” Together, they roast societal expectations, grandparent pressure, “crotch goblins,” gentle parenting debates, and the myth that everyone secretly wants to be a mom or dad. Equal parts unfiltered, thoughtful, and wildly funny, this episode is for anyone who’s ever considered being childfree, thought kids were overrated, or simply wondered where that extra $32,000 a year could go instead. Spoiler alert: They love kids… they just don’t want any of their own. Don’t forget to follow and subscribe at olasmedia.com (https://olasmedia.com/shows/anything-but-clishay) Some notable moments from this episode include: 00:10 – “Are You Pregnant? Grave Expectations

In Grave Expectations, Clifton and Shay stop pretending we’re all going to live forever and march straight into the one topic everyone dodges: death. From how many people die every day (spoiler: it’s a lot) to Shay’s fully scripted funeral plans saved in her Notes app—down to the nail color and cremation jewelry—they unpack what it means to plan your exit while still trying to live your best life. Clifton confesses his hedonist “fade to black” worldview, Shay explains why she wants to be “more extra in death than in life,” and together they wrestle with grief, religion, immigration, aging parents, and the brutal math of knowing your time with the people you love is shrinking by the second. It’s morbid, messy, weirdly sexy, and surprisingly tender—like a late-night therapy session with two people who laugh so they don’t cry. If you’ve ever wondered what happens to your iPhone, your ashes, or your heart after you go, this episode is your permission slip to talk about it out loud. 99 Problems But We Ain't Got None

What really blows up relationships… and why haven’t Clifton and Shay gone nuclear yet? In “99 Problems and We Ain’t Got None,” your favorite “we’re-fine-I-swear” couple runs down the 12 biggest fight triggers in relationships—friends, money, work, in-laws, sex, kids, all of it—and asks, why aren’t we screaming at each other? They get into why their kinks line up, how Shay literally expresses love through sex, and why intimacy is the first sign she’s checked out. Clifton defends his “type A but only about the dishes” energy, and Shay explains why she’s perfectly happy with two good friends, a strong Wi-Fi signal, and a fully charged social battery. From strip-club definitions of cheating to “please return these children to sender,” this is the episode where they poke every hot-button topic… and still go to bed happy. A September-November to Remember

In San Diego, the best “summer” starts after Labor Day. Clifton and Shay break down why locals call it San Diego Summer—that golden stretch from September to Thanksgiving when the crowds thin, the weather stays perfect, and Mission Bay turns into your backyard playground. From Crown Point vibes and surprise bike-parade soundtracks to SeaWorld fireworks, the Thunder Boats, and a newly beloved Belmont Park, the crew shares the rituals and discoveries that make fall the locals’ season. They also cross the border (literally) to talk CBX, quick hops to Mexico City and Oaxaca, and yes… the infamous “Hong Kong all-you-can-eat Chinese” bit. Plus, an Unpopular Opinions showdown: Jack in the Box vs. In-N-Out (prepare your DMs). Petco Park praise, tide talk, and the joy of booking InsideOUT a month in advance—this one’s pure San Diego living. Cruisin’ With CliShay

Clifton and Shay wrap a whirlwind Euro summer aboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady—missing flights, catching feelings, and chasing that legendary hammock from TikTok. From Barcelona to Palma de Mallorca, Cannes, Corsica, and Livorno (hello, Pisa & Florence), they rate the ship, rave about made-to-order eats (The Wake’s “cake-level” French toast), and roast the port-time fine print that turns “8–5” into “9–4:30.” There’s a Corsican beach day with a farmers’ market haul, a record-heat Rome sprint, and a Prada price-tag plot twist that could fund a small car. Also: karaoke rooms, trivia at all hours, an adults-only crowd (did we crash a gay cruise?), and staff so good they bump the score. Final verdict: organization meh, everything else chef’s kiss. Cruising with CliShay just set the bar. The Expatriate Act

From Fort Worth to London to Barcelona — and a few napkin mishaps in between — The Expatriate Act is a jet-lagged confession of courage, culture shock, and unfiltered ambition. Clifton and Shay catch up with longtime friend and globe-trotter Todd Cowen, who swapped American comfort for European heat (and tax perks). They dive into the lust and loneliness of life abroad — the thrill of reinvention, the seduction of freedom, and the reality of translation fails that land harder than a tapas hangover. From Texas grit to Catalan charm, it’s wanderlust with attitude — and zero apologies. Stansted: A Mall With a Runway

Clifton and Shay kick off “Cruising with CliShay” by reliving the chaos of London Stansted—where the security line crawls, the duty-free maze never ends, and the gate doesn’t drop until it’s a full-on mad dash. A missed flight snowballs into a $250 “gotcha” rebook, a VP9 exit scavenger hunt, and an improvised barrier hop to freedom. Along the way: why Stansted feels like a shopping center with planes, the case for buying back your confiscated liquids, a rowdy 6 a.m. hop to “Bar-tha-lona,” and an unlikely shout-out to the Lion & Lamb pub for saving their sanity. Plus, in Unpopular Opinions, Clifton argues your first “home” should be an income property. Zero out of ten—don’t recommend the airport; do recommend the hacks. Shasta La Vista, Baby

Season Two kicks off hot—literally—on Shasta Lake, where Clifton and Shay trade polish for pure chaos. It’s 106 degrees, the starter dies, the houseboat crashes sideways, and the couple somehow turns near-disaster into a weekend vibe. Between Shay’s vanishing act off the roof, a blackout nap on the ski boat, and Clifton’s “Cherry Poppin’ Papi” moment, nothing’s off limits. They meet the parents, break the rules, and redefine “lake life” with equal parts heat, humor, and hangover. Then, in Unpopular Opinions, Shay declares older men are better—Clifton fires back fast. Season Two: louder, looser, and a whole lot less filtered. Some notable moments from this episode: 00:23 – Hell-Hot Houseboat (106° at Shasta) 01:17 – “I Could Live Here” — Houseboat Convert 04:06 – Cherry Poppin’ Papi Makes an Entrance 05:07 – Beached, Bolts & Panic: The Starter Saga 05:24 – Wakeboard Daddy & a Wrecked Knee 14:13 – The Vanishing Shay: Rooftop Dive Scare 15:35 – Blacked Out on a Ski Boat (Hat Off, Lights Out) 17:07 – Drink & Boat? Season One Recap (Bonus Episode)

We didn’t just survive our first season — we stumbled, cursed, overshared about porn, and came out stronger. Our debut episode? We wanted to trash it. Our “sex talk” episode? Let’s just say Shay’s parents should skip that one. But that’s the point — this show was never meant to be polished perfection. Season One was awkward, raw, hilarious, and real. And that’s why we’re proud of it. Season Two? Buckle up. We’re going deeper, dirtier, and maybe even political. Some notable moments from this episode: 00:45 – Our First Episode Was a Turd 05:15 – Clif Uses His Fingers 09:40 – Porn Talk: Sorry, Mom 13:20 – The Sex Episode We Shouldn’t Have Done 17:45 – Dictator for a Day 22:10 – Is Anyone Listening? 26:00 – Shay’s Overshare 31:35 – Unscripted Chaos 36:50 – From Turds to Triumphs 41:15 – Season Two: Dirtier, Riskier, Realer See omnystudio.com/listener (https://omnystudio.com/listener) for privacy information.

Our Relationship (Season 1 - Finale)

You’ve heard them riff on sex, God, brunch, and the occasional pickleball injury. But now, Clifton and Shay are putting themselves on the mic—raw, unscripted, and a little emotionally naked. In this no-holds-barred season finale, they dive into the deep end of their “it’s-not-monogamous-but-also-not-chaotic” relationship. From therapy confessions to spontaneous dates (out of spite, no less), they unpack what ‘us’ really means when nothing is labeled and everything is felt. Are they just vibing… or building a forever lease (month-to-month, naturally)? It’s messy, mature, unfiltered love—and you’ll feel like a voyeur in the best way. This episode isn’t about closure. It’s about curiosity. Because when two people dance around the edges of love, commitment, and modern intimacy… things get juicy. And we’re here for all of it. If You Want to Get Laid, Go to College

In this episode, Clifton and Shay get real about higher education—what they learned, what they didn’t, and whether it was all actually worth it. Joined by longtime friend and guest Daniel P. Nicholson, the trio dives into everything from student loans and life-changing detours to awkward college dates and the myth that you must have a degree to succeed. They share their own (very different) journeys—from state universities to community colleges to skipping the whole system—and break down the economics of education, the power of trade schools, and how “success” looks very different for everyone.
