Sex, Beer, and Bigfoot... How Anthropology Helps Us Understand Human Life, featuring Keri Canada
<p>Welcome to a new season of Applied! In this episode, we talk with Keri Canada about the diverse field of anthropology and how it can be used to better understand virtually every aspect of human life, from reproductive health behavior to the ancient art of brewing to the quirky subculture of cryptozoology.</p><p><strong>About our guest</strong>:</p><p>Keri Canada teaches in CSU’s Department of Anthropology and Geography and also works as an academic support coordinator. Keri holds both B.A. and M.A. degrees in Anthropology from California State University, Fullerton and has completed all coursework for a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Keri is primarily a medical anthropologist whose research has focused on human sexual and reproductive health behavior. She has previously been published as a columnist and book reviewer in anthropology journals. Keri currently teaches courses in Practicing Anthropology; Beer, Brewing, and Culture; and Anthropology of Sex and Reproduction. She will also instruct a new study abroad course in 2027 called: “Culture, History, Brewing.”</p>

Water and Natural Resource Economics in Colorado, with Jordan Suter
<p>In this episode, we discuss the growing field of natural resource economics along with the evolution of water management policy in Colorado and the surrounding region. </p><p>Our guest, Jordan Suter, is a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics within the College of Agricultural Sciences at CSU.
