The Future of Lake Management: Nanobubbles’ Promise for Large-Scale Treatment
Nanobubble technology is redefining how we manage lake health. These microscopic bubbles–smaller than the width of a human hair–have transformative capabilities that exceed what traditional aeration can accomplish. In this episode, we speak with Dr. Denise Devotta, Senior Limnologist at Moleaer, about the science behind this innovative approach and its application for lakes suffering from algal blooms and legacy sediment loads. While nanobubbles are not widely understood or adopted, Moleaer’s cutting-edge treatments have achieved outstanding improvements in water clarity and quality for lakes across the U.S., including Minnesota’s Tadd Lake and California’s Lake Elsinore. Dr. Devotta takes us through these case studies, discussing how nanobubble technology is revitalizing community spaces and shaping the future of lake management.

In-Situ’s Tom Stone and Rob Passmore, CEO and Co-Founder of U.K.-based Additive Earth, discuss the U.K.’s way forward as water companies, government bodies, non-profit organizations and other stakeholders navigate the new requirements and begin to strategize about approaches to data collection.
