Area 62: A Desert Literary Vortex - Greg Gilbert and Ruth Nolan
Area 62 host and producer, Shaunda McKinnon, joins Steve Brown, executive producer, with guests Greg Gilbert and Ruth Nolan. Greg is a writer and poet, actively involved in the hi-desert's writing community, a former English professor and trustee for Copper Mountain College, and the founder of HOWL, the CMC literary and arts magazine. Ruth is a poet, writer, and editor, as well as a freshly retired English professor from College of the Desert, and is the poet laureate for the Mojave Desert.

He's a Hopi/Tewa singer/songwriter, artist, and edutainer - the front man for Tha 'Yoties, and the fascinating presenter of Alter-Native History. Ed Kabotie has performed three times in Joshua Tree - twice at Copper Mountain College. JRod caught up with Ed for a stimulating musical episode of Area 62.
