[…] The ones that are working under the table. The ones that are giving many times a bad name to the good licensed contractors out there. So this came up here yesterday that I saw in my newsfeed. Nevada had a huge sting announced yesterday. 12 unlicensed contractors offered bids up to $100,000 during a statewide undercover operating. It was their operation that they were doing, prompting criminal cases and other actions by the Nevada State Contractors Board. So what happened was, is their board ran four undercover operations using decoy residential and commercial properties. Bids range from $6,000 to $100,000 for garage conversions, paint, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, framing, you know, HVAC, all that stuff. […]
