Around Town 10/27/26: Local News, Culture and Events
Host/Producer: Amy Browne Part 2 (continued from previous day) Around Town and Back Again – March 20, 2003, Bangor, Maine: The war in Iraq is expected to begin very soon. Area residents make one last attempt to share information with Senator Susan Collins in hopes of convincing her to withdraw support. As a large group of Mainers protests for hours in the cold in front of the Federal Building in Bangor, some of them head inside where they expect to meet with her office staff together. When they are told they cannot go up to her office together as they have in the past, they decide what they’re going to do next.
