Arsenal Women: Trailblazers is an independent podcast and community for people who want to understand Arsenal Women a little more deeply - on and off the pitch.
I’m Roberto Revilla, a match-going Arsenal supporter, and this is where we make sense of what’s happening around the team together. That might mean looking beyond the scoreline to understand what Renée Slegers is trying to build, getting properly acquainted with a new signing rather than stopping at their statistics, making sense of a transfer, talking through the stories affecting the women’s game, or noticing the little things happening around Arsenal that can easily get lost in the noise.
There’ll still be news, transfers, matches, injuries and all the things you’d expect from an Arsenal Women podcast, but Trailblazers isn’t about racing to tell you something you’ve probably already seen on your phone. I’d rather spend some time with it, ask the questions you might be asking yourself and hopefully leave you feeling as though you understand a little more than you did when we started.
And this isn’t supposed to be me talking at you. The Trailblazers community is becoming an important part of the show, with your questions, observations and ideas regularly finding their way into episodes. Whether you’ve followed Arsenal Women for years or you’re only just discovering the team, you’re very welcome here.

Arsenal Beat Tottenham 2-1, But Have We Really Turned a Corner?
Arsenal Women have finally returned to winning ways in the WSL, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the North London Derby. And after a frustrating few weeks, those three points feel pretty good!
Georgia Stanway and Alessia Russo scored the goals, nearly 4,000 travelling Arsenal supporters had something to celebrate and Renée Slegers made several changes we’d been calling for.
But has this victory really changed anything?
In this episode of Trailblazers, Roberto takes a closer look at Arsenal’s performance, from Taylor Hinds’ opportunity at left-back and the continuing debate around Alessia Russo’s best position to our struggles creating chances despite dominating possession.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Women: How We Win the North London Derby
Tottenham have conceded twelve goals in their last two WSL games. Arsenal Women have spent weeks struggling for consistency. So what happens when two teams desperate for a result meet in the north London derby?
In this episode of Trailblazers, I look ahead to Tottenham vs Arsenal Women and examine what Renée Slegers needs to change to get Arsenal back to winning ways.
We look at Tottenham's attacking strengths and defensive weaknesses, the threat posed by former Arsenal player Victoria Pelova and why Arsenal need to rediscover the aggressive, coordinated pressing we saw during pre-season.

Arsenal 1–1 Birmingham: What’s Going Wrong Under Renée Slegers?
Arsenal Women dropped more points at the Emirates after a frustrating 1–1 draw with Birmingham City, leaving supporters asking some increasingly difficult questions about Renée Slegers and the direction of the team.
In this episode of Trailblazers, Roberto Revilla takes an in-depth look at what went wrong, why the same problems keep appearing and whether Arsenal are making the best use of their talented squad.
