Jose Dávila is a renowned Mexican artist whose multidisciplinary practice brings together art and architecture. Originally from Guadalajara, his work is distinguished by the interplay between industrial materials—such as concrete, glass, and steel—and natural elements, including rocks and wood. Through these contrasts, he explores themes such as urbanism and the relationship between human beings and natural resources.
His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in the collections of institutions including the Reina Sofía Museum, the Centre Pompidou, the Guggenheim, and the UBS Art Collection, among others.
In this conversation, we revisit his artistic journey and explore key themes in his practice: gravity as a certainty, the dialogue between the natural and the industrial, and the prejudice against colour in art.

Pilar Albarracín
Pilar Albarracín is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Spanish art. Originally from Seville, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning performance, photography, video, installation, drawing, and embroidery. Through humour, irony, and the appropriation of symbols from Andalusian folklore, she questions gender stereotypes, the role of women within cultural and social traditions, as well as the power structures present in society.
In this conversation, she shares insights into her artistic journey, the themes explored throughout her work, and her vision of art as a tool for transforming the world.

Lisa Lloyd
Lisa Lloyd is an established British mixed media and three dimensional artist. She has developed a distinctive practice working with paper, plastic, and, more recently, metal to craft sculptures that capture both the fragility and intensity of the natural world. Among her achievements, Lisa has been awarded the Homo Faber Prize at Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, as well as a QEST Scholarship.
In our conversation, she tells us more about her trajectory, creative process, inspirations, and material practice, along with the themes that shape her work and how much of her craft has been learned through trial and error.
