Art Smitten - Interview with Claire Garwoli, Davin Ivatts and Zosia Slifirski Duckett
On Art Smitten today, we will be joined by the artists presented in ‘For Holding’, currently on display at First Site Gallery. 🕯️
💌 Claire Garwoli, Davin Ivatts and Zosia Slifirski Duckett are part of Vessel – a collective formed from a friendship forged through sculpture. ‘For Holding’ is their inaugural collaboration, created in Vessel’s workshop. The project brings them together with each handmade object. Every element depends upon the others, turning individual acts of making into a collective invitation to pause, hold and be present.

Artist interview with Faith Spencer
🕯️Today on Art Smitten, we’ll be joined by Faith Spencer, whose solo show, ‘If stars were to touch me, I’d feel it’, has just opened at @alltheverybest_ (https://www.instagram.com/alltheverybest_/) in Abbotsford!
Faith is a painter whose practice explores light and atmosphere through layered colour and a transient visual language. Drawing on lived experience and remembered observations, Spencer considers the relationship between perception and memory through the medium of painting.
The exhibition runs from 18th October - 1st November!
We also have our Art + Music segment brought to us by Aditi today ~ sharing the work of Hannah Li @hannahhhli (https://www.instagram.com/hannahhhli/) 💜 AND Astra is smitten with Sadie Whelan's practice 💜
