Nate chats with Sarah Cleave, Founder of Gizzy Local, about her mission to make creativity more accessible and inclusive through the platform. She reflects on her decision to step away from Gizzy Local, sharing how a deep conversation with her partner during the second lockdown inspired her to consider moving overseas and how that conversation sparked her desire to follow her own artistic path. Sarah also reflects on how her accidents taught her to slow down and focus on what truly matters in life. We discuss parenting and how it has led them to rethink priorities and consider the needs of others more, as well as Sarah's approach to managing screen time for her kids, and prioritising creativity. We talk about how busy, high-energy lives can limit space for calm and personal growth and lastly the importance of patience, not just with others but also with the creative process.
