Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and thank you for joining us. On this episode we have my longtime friend and bandmate Garrett Bond. Garrett and I have known each other for over 20 years and have played in multiple projects together. I’m excited to finally get him on and have a great conversation. We cover all sorts of things like his musical influences and getting into playing music. We talk about Denton in the mid 2000’s and his joining The Raven Charter and eventually his other projects over the years, including Crown Lucia, 411 and most recently Double Bear and Temporal Distortions. He also gives us a run-down of his bass collection. Always fun and kick-ass, I introduce to you Garrett Bond.

Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and thank you for joining us. On this episode we have Michael Garcia. Mike and I have known each other for about 20 years playing shows with each other’s bands and we started Local Famous Records together back in 2020. In this interview I really get to know Michael and discover the legend that brought him here. We discuss his background growing up in Everman, TX and his musical trajectory in the DFW scene in the early 2000’s up through his current endeavors. His band Double Bear just released their new record “El Shotgun” on Local Famous Records and at the end of the podcast you can catch the songs “Free and Easy” and "Corporate Pawns.”
