Ep 12. From Multi-Million Dollar Business to Motherhood | Birth Story & Identity Shift

She built a multi-million dollar business. Then she chose motherhood… and everything shifted. In this episode, I sit with Natalie Cutajar to explore her experience of birth, motherhood, and the decisions that reshaped her life. Natalie shares her personal journey, including stepping away from a multi-million dollar coaching business and choosing to fully devote herself to motherhood. Inside this conversation, we explore: Natalie’s decision to close her business and what led her there The reality of transitioning from high-level entrepreneur to mother Her choice to birth at home and create an intentional environment for birth Experiencing lotus birth and honouring the physiological process The role of intuition, preparation, and personal responsibility in birth The first 6 to 8 months postpartum and the identity shift into motherhood Why the transition from maiden to mother often takes time The pressure many women feel to maintain productivity and “bounce back” How reducing stress changed her second pregnancy experience A perspective on infant crying, emotional expression, and attachment Throughout this episode, you’ll hear Natalie’s perspective… and you’ll also feel where this may challenge your own beliefs. Take what resonates. Question what doesn’t. That’s where your power sits. Birth is not something to be handed over without thought. The more a woman is willing to prepare, question, and take responsibility for her experience… the more empowered she becomes within it. This episode is an invitation. Not to agree. Not to follow someone else’s path. But to come back to yourself, your body, and your own knowing… and choose from there. 🌿 Resources Mentioned Book a chat with Dee (https://links.ivorey.io/widget/bookings/intro-birthsupport) Website: devaco.com.au (https://www.devaco.com.au) Tears and Tantrums book (https://www.amazon.com.au/Tears-Tantrums-What-Babies-Children/dp/0961307366#detailBullets_feature_div) Natalies birth VLOG (https://youtu.be/DB1qC8Sf-UA?si=knazQkxS6Ul5QIt2)

Ep 11: Loving Boundaries in Pregnancy. Protecting Your Energy When Others Project Their Fear

Episode 11: Loving Boundaries in Pregnancy. Protecting Your Energy When Others Project Their Fear Pregnancy can feel like an open invitation for opinions, advice, and unfiltered fear. From hands on bellies without consent, to well-meaning loved ones projecting their own trauma, worry, or beliefs, many pregnant mummas find themselves carrying far more than their own experience. In this episode, I speak into the importance of creating loving, conscious boundaries during pregnancy. We explore how to recognise projection, how to protect your nervous system, and how to practise assertiveness without hardening your heart. Drawing on my own journey into motherhood and decades of walking alongside women through pregnancy and birth, I share practical ways to respond to unsolicited advice, fear based commentary, and the pressure that often intensifies as the due time approaches. We also talk about the impact of constant checking in, timeline anxiety, and how this disrupts the oxytocin flow needed for labour to unfold naturally. This episode is an invitation to come back into your body, trust your inner knowing, and remember that pregnancy and birth are sacred transitions, not public events. You are allowed to choose what you share, who you engage with, and what energy you carry. If you are feeling the weight of other people’s opinions, fear, or urgency, this conversation is here to remind you that your peace matters. Your timing matters. And your knowing matters! Ep 10. Birth and Birthing; Now vs Then

Episode 10. Birth and Birthing; Now vs Then ~ Homebirth Australia Conference Presentation In this episode I’m bringing you the full presentation I shared at the Homebirth Australia Conference in Adelaide on Nov 9 2025. It's a deep dive into what I have witnessed in more than three decades of working with bodies, movement and birth. We explore why birth itself has not changed, yet our bodies absolutely have. I walk you through the way our ancestors lived and moved, how our modern lifestyle shapes the pregnant body, and why these shifts affect labour, positioning, and the entire physiology of birth. You will hear the stories, the insights, the frustrations and the fierce clarity that have shaped my work as an Aligned and supportive birthworker and bodyworker. You will learn how tension patterns form, why alignment matters, how fascia responds to life, and how breathwork and movement can shift everything for the women and families you support. This episode is part history lesson, part anatomy lesson, part embodiment practice, always truth telling and fully devoted to bringing birth back into the hands and wisdom of women. Settle in, breathe with me, and let your own awareness awaken as you listen. Ep. 9 Em’s Birth Story: Kai’s Chosen Timing - A Sovereign & free Homebirth

Episode 9. Em’s Birth Story: Kai’s Chosen Timing- A Sovereign & free Homebirth Today I sit down with the beautiful Em, a Mumma from my community who birthed her first baby, Kai, at home in March 2025. Call it a homebirth, sovereign birth, freebirth, or unassisted birth, whatever words feel right, but for Em and her husband Craig, it was about creating a birth that was deeply intentional, aligned, and fully theirs. I had the privilege of supporting Em and Craig through their pregnancy, birth & postpartum journey, and it was incredible to witness how committed they were to preparing themselves mentally, emotionally, and physically to bring Kai earthside in their power. Being their first birth, Em and Craig explored many different care providers within the hospital system before coming to the realisation that the only path that felt right for them was to birth at home. Kai chose to come a week early and it was magic. That timing meant no-one knew Em and Craig were in labour. The birth was completely undisturbed, energetically protected, and held in the most sacred way, just the way Kai had chosen it to be. It’s the first time Em and I have had the chance to sit together and go through her birth story in full, and it was such a joy to reflect, laugh, and honour the journey. She’s articulate, passionate, and deeply clear on why this path mattered so much for her family. I know you’re going to love this episode. Ep 7. Go With Whose Flow? Redefining Support & Sovereignty in Birth

🎙️ Episode 7: Go With Whose Flow?Redefining Support & Sovereignty in Birth In this raw and fiercely honest solo episode, I speak straight from the heart about one of the most common things I hear from birthing women: “We’re just going to go with theflow.”  But what flow are you really going with? After 16+ years of walking alongside thousands of families through birth, bodywork, education and advocacy, I’ve seen the consequences of “going with the flow” in a system designed to serve itself - not you. This episode unpacks what it truly means to birth in your own flow, why hospital policy and systemic pressure are not neutral forces, and what kind of support is actually needed to stay anchored in your sovereignty… especially when things get tough or your labour goes on longer than you expected. We talk abandonment, coercion, regret, intuition, energetic alignment, and the kind of unwavering advocacy that doesn’t bail when the fire gets hot. If you’re preparing for birth orsupporting someone who is, then this is a must-listen. ✨ What I cover in this episode: Why “going with the flow” in hospital is often code for surrendering your power The truth about coercion, pressure, and policy in institutional birth What real birth support actually looks like (and how to find it) Tips for building your energetic birth team & staying sovereign in your decisions Roleplay, preparation, and the deep practice of tuning into your intuition This is your reminder that your birth is sacred, and you deserve to be held in it fiercely, fully, and without compromise. 💥 Subscribe, share, and prepare to remember who you are... Ep. 6 Addressing perceived risks of Homebirth

Episode 6:Addressing perceived risks of Homebirth (featuring my conversation with Deija) This episode is a little different… because I’m in the guest seat. My beautiful Mumma client and friend Deija invited me onto her podcast to talk about everything we wish women knew about birth. Together we unmask the hidden risks of hospital birth, name the trauma that’s too often normalised, and reclaim the power and possibility of physiological birth at home. I share my own story (which you’ve heard a bit of before) how I went from system-led trauma to deep remembrance, how I found healing, and why I’m so passionate about guarding the sacred birth portal. We talk about what the system gets wrong, and why birth is never just a medical event. We also delve into what I think and hear are the most common misconceptions around birthing at home. ✨ In this episode: ·      What I wish every woman knew about hospital birth ·      My journey from trauma to sovereignty ·      How supporting homebirth became my healing path ·      Why physiological birth is your birthright If you’ve ever feltthat birth could be more… that’s because it is. This one’s for the remembering. 🔗 Links....
