Elliott Danker hosts this Asia Collective podcast series where we take a look at what's behind the pulse of Asia right now.
We discuss what governments and businesses are paying attention to around the world and especially in Asia and what businesses need to pay attention to when expanding in the region.

Critical infrastructure cybersecurity is often discussed in terms of prevention: stopping attackers, protecting networks and securing operational systems.
But resilience begins with a more difficult assumption: Something has already gone wrong.
What began as a cyber incident can quickly become an operational crisis. At that point, the question is no longer simply whether an organisation can contain the attack. It is whether it can continue to function while responding to it.
Ahead of CyberDSA 2026, we speak with Jonathan Jackson, APAC Field CISO, Secure Communications, BlackBerry

Building the Digital Foundations of Government
Government digitalisation is changing how public services are delivered — from digital identity and cloud services to connected infrastructure, data platforms and increasingly AI-enabled systems.
But greater digital dependence also raises the stakes. Connectivity must be reliable, systems must be secure, and essential services must remain available even when infrastructure is disrupted or attacked.
As governments accelerate digital transformation, how do they build the secure and resilient digital foundations needed to support it?
Ahead of CyberDSA 2026, we speak with Fasliza Rosli, Head of Government & GLC Segment, Maxis Malaysia

Critical Infrastructure in an Age of Strategic Competition
When people hear the words critical infrastructure, they often think of power stations, airports or water treatment plants. But increasingly, the infrastructure that keeps our societies functioning isn't just physical.
But the infrastructure that keeps modern societies functioning is increasingly interconnected.
Energy depends on communications. Financial systems depend on digital networks.
Logistics depend on data. Healthcare depends on technology. Government services increasingly depend on all of them.
That changes the cybersecurity problem. A disruption in one system can create consequences far beyond the organisation initially affected.
And as geopolitical competition intensifies, the ability of a country to keep essential services functioning is becoming an increasingly important measure of national resilience.
The question is therefore no longer simply: How do we protect critical infrastructure?
It is: How do we ensure that society continues to function when that infrastructure is disrupted?
Ahead of CyberDSA 2026, we speak with Ir Dr Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajuddin, Chief Executive of Malaysia's National Cyber Security Agency, or NACSA.
