<p>Dr. Ümit Tokaç 2006 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Ortaöğretim Matematik Öğretmenliğinden mezun olduktan sonra kısa bir süre için öğretmenlik yaptı. Öğretmenliğin kendine uygun olmadığına karar verdikten sonra 2009 yılında Florida State Üniversitesi'nde Educational Statistics ve Research Methods alanındaki master eğitimine başladı ve Measurement ve Statistics alanındaki doktora eğitimine aynı üniversitede devam etti. 2016 yılı başında doktorasını tamamlayıp Amerika'nın en prestijli test şirketlerinden birinde data scientist olarak çalıştıktan sonra 2017 yılında University of Missouri-St. Louis(UMSL)de akademik kariyerine başladı. Dr. Tokaç, 2017 yılından beri yardımcı doçent doktor olarak kariyerine UMSL'da devam etmektedir.</p>

Ayberk Kocatepe - İnşaat mühendisliği doktorası - Florida'da öğrencilik ve yaşam
<p>Podcast serimizin bu haftaki konuğu Dr. Ayberk Kocatepe. Ayberk 2009 yılında Boğaziçi Üniversitesi inşaat mühendisliğinden mezun olduktan sonra eğitimine İtalya Politecnico Di Milano'da devam etti. Burada Architectural Engineering üzerine masterini 2012 senesinde tamamlamasının ardından kısa bir süre için Türkiye'de çalıştı. Türkiye'de kalmak istemediğine karar verip 2013 senesinde Florida State University'sinde ulaştırma alanındaki doktorasına başladı. 4 sene içinde doktorasını bitiren Ayberk 2018 senesinden beri Miami'de bir danışmanlık şirketinde trafik simülasyon ve modelleri konusunda uzman olarak çalışmaktadır.</p>
