Riding for a Reason: £2,200+ for Blood Bikes Scotland! | Ep. 18
Torrential rain, stunning Highland roads and over £2,200 raised for Blood Bikes Scotland—this was a ride to remember! 🏍️❤️ In Episode 18, Donkey and Trog welcome Ian Lynn and Jim Gibson to reflect on their September charity motorcycle adventure, following the cheque presentation at East Lothian Community Hospital. From a soaking at the Green Welly to sunshine at Loch Ness and a windy stop at John O’Groats, we share the laughs, challenges and friendships made along the way. We discuss the generosity of the lodges and supporters who welcomed us, how Freemasonry and motorcycling bring people together, and why supporting Blood Bikes Scotland means more than raising money—it’s about raising awareness of its volunteers and their work helping the NHS. Plus, there’s the usual banter, ideas for future adventures and one firm requirement from Jim: a hotel beats a tent! Thank you to everyone who donated, supported the ride and helped make it happen. 💬 Where should our next charity ride take us? Tell us in the comments! 👍 Like, share and subscribe for more biking adventures, Freemasonry discussions and conversations with friends. “As long as you’re listening, we’ll keep talking.” #BloodBikesScotland #CharityRide #MotorcyclePodcast #Freemasonry #ScottishMotorcycling

Freemasonry: Evolve or Fade Away?
Freemasonry has survived for centuries, built on traditions, values and brotherhood. But in a world that's constantly changing, is Freemasonry keeping pace, or is it at risk of being left behind? In this episode, Trog and Donkey tackle a question that deserves an open and honest conversation: Is Freemasonry declining, or is it simply evolving? It's not just about bringing new members through the door. It's about what happens once they're inside. Are we doing enough to keep our existing Brethren engaged, involved and excited about being Freemasons? And how do we introduce Freemasonry to a younger generation who communicate, socialise and discover communities in completely different ways? Can we embrace social media, podcasts and modern thinking without losing the ancient traditions that make Freemasonry special? Perhaps the biggest question is whether we need to change Freemasonry itself, or simply change how we share and experience it. Expect some honest opinions, a bit of banter and plenty of food for thought. Whether you're a lifelong Freemason, a newly entered Brother or simply curious about what Freemasonry offers, this conversation is for you. 🏍️ Asphalt & Aprons – A podcast for everyone, even the curious. 👇 Join the conversation: What would you change to help Freemasonry thrive for future generations? #AsphaltAndAprons #Freemasonry #MasonicPodcast #Brotherhood #FutureOfFreemasonry

Episode 7 - Fight That Matters Isn’t In The Ring
Alright, alright—settle in, grab a brew… or don’t, we’re not your dad. Welcome back to the podcast—where the roads are long, the conversations are questionable, and somehow we still end up learning something. Today’s episode? Bit of a mad one, to be honest. We’ve got Pawel Zakrzewski in the hot seat—co-founder of the Edinburgh Combat Project, steward at Lodge Colinton and Currie No. 1092, and riding with the Widows Sons Solomon’s Guard Masonic crew. So yeah… not exactly a man who’s got “free time” pencilled into the diary. This is a guy who’s out here building fighters, building people, building a charity—and still somehow finding time to throw a leg over a motorbike and disappear down the road like he’s got nowhere to be… even though he’s got about twelve places to be. And the thing is—he’s not just busy for the sake of it. There’s purpose behind it. Proper drive. The kind that makes you feel like maybe you should’ve done more with your morning than scroll your phone for an hour. We get into all of it—the graft behind growing something that actually helps people, the brotherhood side of things, the bikes, the mindset… and how on earth he manages to stitch it all together without completely losing the plot. So yeah—if you’ve ever wondered how someone balances fighting, charity, personal growth, and a love of two wheels… stick around. This one’s a belter. Let’s get into it.

Ep.2 Getting to Know Trog – Bikes, Brotherhood & Balance
In this episode of Asphalt & Aprons, we turn the mic towards one half of the hosting team — Stewart “Trog” Walls. A Past Master of Lodge Colinton & Currie No. 1029 and Secretary of Widows Sons Solomons Guard Grand Scotland, Trog shares the journey behind the titles. From his first steps into Freemasonry to serving his Lodge and riding alongside his Brothers in a Masonic Riding Association, we dig into what truly drives him. We talk bikes — the machines he’s loved, the miles he’s covered, and the freedom of the open road. But we also explore the deeper side: how Freemasonry and motorcycling complement each other, how brotherhood extends beyond the Lodge room, and why service, loyalty and shared values sit at the heart of both. This is a relaxed, honest conversation about identity, purpose, and finding harmony between apron and asphalt. Whether you’re a Mason, a biker, both — or simply curious — this episode gives you a proper introduction to the man behind the nickname. Trog. Brother. Rider. Co-host. Let’s get to know him. 🏍️
