JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for the latest Karmic Evolution’s Astrologically Speaking podcast!<br />CHANGE IN VALUES LEADS TO CHANGE IN PERSPECTIVES<br />Given that the Gemini New Moon occurred at 24’03 Gemini on June 14 at 7:54 p.m. PT & 10:54 p.m. ET, it brings with it the opportunity to plant seeds related to our ability to communicate with one another--& ourselves.<br />And, in doing so, what we may have thought was of most value to us back before the May 16 Taurus New Moon monthly lunar cycle—including the Sagittarius Full Moon—may have changed.<br />And that, in turn, has changed many peoples’ perspectives, particularly about what is of most value in their lives. You know, like food security & affordability, & access to affordable healthcare.<br />This podcast explores the astrological symbolism that’s moved the collective away from material complacency & old perspectives that we’ll always have enough to be “comfortable.”<br />And that by the time we experienced the May 31 Sagittarius Full Moon—when the Sadge Moon opposed both the Gemini Sun, Uranus & Ceres—we were asked to release our attachment to a leader’s perspective (Gemini Sun) & to change our perspective about what we value most in life.<br />This came to head by the time we reached the June 8 third quarter lunar square of the Pisces Moon to the Gemini Sun, where “the people” felt victimized (represented by the Pisces Moon) by a leader who says he “doesn’t care” about Americans’ finances & “loves” inflation (Gemini Sun.)<br />No surprise then, that as a result of the Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer on June 9 after which billionaire Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire, people began to openly ask what they’d been thinking for a while: How much is too much?<br />Especially when so many billionaires & Musk, the newly minted trillionaire, do little to improve peoples’ lives but choose instead to use their wealth simply to increase their power.<br />That this holds true not only in America but in places like Albania where Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner & daughter Ivanka “purchased” an island there they plan to develop into a multi-billion dollar resort for the rich.<br />Tens of thousands have taken to the streets there to objection to the potential rape of this nation’s environmentally protected coastal habitats. And the kicker? Albania’s prime minister supports this development, which suggests perhaps he’s got a stake in the game…<br />VENUS IN LEO OPPOSITE PLUTO IN AQUARIUS: ARE THE RICH RAPING THE PEOPLE?<br />All of the astrology of the past few months—in addition to the exposure of more & more corruption within the Trump Administration & his family’s business dealings—bring us to question whether they are raping people not only of their tax dollars but of their legal rights. <br />That’s how we know that the Gemini New Moon monthly cycle is now asking us to change our perspectives about what it is we value most. In other words, do we value having rich business people run our government, or do we prefer those who have at heart the interests & well-being of those they serve.<br />Greed & avarice go hand in hand with corruption & selling one’s soul for money & material resources, making those who do so venal. SCORPIO FULL MOON REVEALS TAURUS SUN’S SHADOW SIDE & REMINDS US THAT RESISTING EVOLUTIONARY CHANGE IS FUTILE!
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN FOR THIS WEEK’S PODCAST @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today May 1!<br />CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES, TURN & FACE THE STRANGE CH-CH-CHANGES <br />We know all Full Moons are when the Moon casts the light of the Sun directly back onto itself, thus revealing to the Sun its archetypal shadow side. <br />In this case, today’s May 1 Scorpio Full Moon, which occurs when the 11’21” Scorpio Moon exact opposes the 11’21” Taurus Sun at 10:23 am PT & 1:23 pm ET on May 1, we’re being advised to let go of Taurus’s archetypal shadows. <br />And those revolve around our tendency to stay stuck in the past, as the Venus-ruled Taurus’s shadow is known to be its stubborn resistance to change, & its attachment to its creature comforts—especially related to its value of physical & material resources.<br />However, let’s remember first that this Scorpio Full Moon is part of this month’s longer lunar cycle which began with the Aries New Moon on April 17. And that at that time both the Moon & Sun were conjoined in Aries with wounded healer Chiron & dwarf planet of chaos, strife, & discord, Eris.<br />This told us that our monthly mission was to plant seeds that lead to healing our wounded Aries energy. This podcast touches on how a wounded Mars-ruled Aries shadow is that it looks a lot like Libra archetypal energy: Indecisive &/or passive aggressive.<br />This has clearly played out in American politics given the fact that by the first quarter lunar square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun on April 23--just after the Venus/Uranus conjunction at 29’59” Taurus—Congress was still in limbo concerning funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS.)<br />No surprise then, that as we approached this Scorpio Full Moon, the House finally let go of its stubborn resistance & passed the Senate’s March version of this funding bill—which excludes funding ICE & CBP—on April 30. <br />It was the stubbornness of both sides of the aisle that left TSA, FEMA, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Secret Service, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) unfunded for 76 days since February 14. <br />Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Saturn had reentered Mars-ruled Aries February 13, indicating the kind of “banging one’s head against the wall” frustration felt by both Congressional Democrats & Republicans since. <br />Now the GOP majority-ruled Congress still has to take up a separate reconciliation bill to pass any funding for ICE & CBP, which Democrats vehemently oppose without some major changes to those agencies. <br />This is one example of the Scorpio Full Moon’s waxing influence on moving the nation out of limbo and into some kind of motivated action--the wound highlighted at the Aries New Moon conjunct Chiron & Eris. <br />However, we’ve still got a long way to go when it comes to the U.S./Israeli waged war on Iran, as Congress continues to waffle on passing the War Powers Resolution Act codifying President Trump’s ability to wage war without Congressional consent. <br />This Act, passed in 1973 as a direct result of then President Richard Nixon’s U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War without congressional approval—& despite many Americans’ opposition—illustrates the resistance of this Administration to adhering to both past law & the will of the people.<br />SUPREME COURT GUTS VOTING RIGHTS ACT, RETURNING US TO VALUES OF THE PAST <br />But first, America has an even bigger internal problem that’s related to its elections. On April 29, the Supreme Court took a step backward leaving us stuck in values of the past (Taurus Sun) that have already been proven not only unfair but that also position the U.S. even more firmly against the natural evolutionary process (Scorpio Moon.)<br />And the latter is exactly what this Scorpio Full Moon is trying to tell us: That resisting change—by returning us to the values of the past such as the days of Jim...

ARIES NEW MOON AS VENUS WAXES TOWARD URANUS IN TAURUS: SUDDEN CHANGE IN VALUES AROUND WAR & A BRIDGE TO PEACE? J
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for the latest podcast which drops today April 17!<br />As of this Aries New Moon, which occurred at 4:52 a.m. PT & 7:52 a.m. ET at 27’29” Aries on April 17, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the Iranians have agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz to all traffic.<br />That occurred as there is a huge conglomeration of planets in Aries, from the Moon, Sun, Saturn, Mercury, & Neptune—along with wounded healer & dwarf planet Eris close to both luminaries--& peace-loving Venus waxes toward its exact conjunction to Uranus in Taurus on April 23.<br />This sudden opening of the flow of oil, gas, & commodities out of Iran comes on the heels of yesterday’s April 16 announcement of a ceasefire between Israel & Lebanon by President Trump. That was as the Sun exact conjoined Chiron in Aries, Mars in Aries sextiled Pluto in Aquarius, & Mercury in Aries conjoined Neptune in Aries.<br />There is a cautionary tale here, however, which includes the fact that the Israeli ceasefire was announced not by its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but by Trump. <br />While this is obviously still good news—especially since this announcement has already spurred reports of a fast rise of the world’s financial markets—it was unclear if Trump’s announcement was his way of coercing Israel into the ceasefire by announcing it to the world before details were actually completed.<br />As per the New York Times: “A 10-day cease-fire went into effect at midnight on Friday morning in Lebanon. The truce pauses fighting between Israeli forces and the militant group Hezbollah, removing a major obstacle to peace talks between the United States and Iran.<br />“Israeli and Lebanese officials had confirmed they would implement the truce, which was first announced by President Trump after a diplomatic push by the U.S. government earlier in the day. Hezbollah acknowledged the cease-fire in a pair of statements on Thursday, but did not directly address whether it would accept the truce, saying its actions would be “based on how developments unfold.”<br />It appears by now that this truce is being honored, which is the reason behind Iran’s announcement that it would open the Strait of Hormuz to all traffic, as this ceasefire was a major sticking point behind Iran’s closure of the Strait. And it’s refusal to reopen this globally important waterway.<br />However, again according to the NY Times earlier today: “One of the main questions in Lebanon on Friday morning was if the cease-fire would hold. NNA, the state news agency, reported traffic jams on roads leading to southern Lebanon, from where many had fled because of Israeli evacuation orders and bombardment. Earlier, the Lebanese army said it had recorded several Israeli violations since the cease-fire went into effect at midnight. The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”<br />WILL THIS CHANGE IN VALUES LAST?<br />The question is whether, by the time the Sun enters Venus-ruled Taurus April 19, just after Mars conjoins Saturn in Aries, this slowdown in hostilities will hold. With Mercury headed for a conjunction to both Saturn & Neptune on April 20, it’s hard to tell…<br />The Venus/Uranus conjunction in Taurus on April 23 will occur just before the first quarter crisis in action square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun that day, after which Venus enters Mercury-ruled Gemini late on the 23rd or early the 24th, depending on your time zone…<br />And that will bring us to the Sun’s fixed square to Pluto April 25, along with Uranus’s reentrance into Mercury-ruled Gemini that day as well for the long term. So, the question by then will be whether or not softer rhetoric prevails as peaceful ceasefire negotiations between warring factions continue. <br />In other words, will the beginning of this Aries New Moon cycle help heal past rifts based on a new set of changed values, or...
