Bee Happy | Finding Wonder in Ordinary Things!

Did you know a bumble bee technically shouldn't be able to fly? This episode of At Forest's Edge starts there and turns into a surprising meditation on joy, wonder, and why the small ordinary moments of your day might be the most sacred ones you have.Along the way: a hand-painted pun that started as a joke and became a whole devotional, a case for why Tom Bombadil from The Lord of the Rings might be one of the most spiritually whole characters ever written, and three scriptures including one that completely reframes what it means to rejoice that will change how you see your ordinary Tuesday. This is a faith-based podcast episode for anyone who loves depth and delight! For women navigating hard seasons who need permission to laugh again, book lovers who'll catch the Tolkien references, and anyone who's ever needed a reminder that joy is a spiritual discipline, not a mood.🐝 New episode: Bee Happy, because wonder isn't childish. Romans 8:28 | God is Still Weaving Your Story

At Forest's Edge: Episode 4: Romans 8:28, The Unfinished Tapestry

What does it mean to trust God when all you can see is the back of the tapestry, the knots, the loose threads, the colors that make no sense? In this episode, we go deep into Romans 8:28, exploring the original Greek word synergeo and what it really means that God is "working all things together for good."

This isn't a greeting-card devotional. It's a raw, personal conversation about surviving, the seasons that crush us, and how that crushing, like an olive press, can release something the unbroken version of us could never have produced. We'll look at the imagery of the weaver and the loom across Norse mythology, Greek mythology, and Tolkien's legendarium, and how every culture has reached for the same truth scripture names outright.

If you're walking through grief, addiction in your family, trauma recovery, or a season that feels like abandonment, this episode is for you.

Topics covered: Romans 8:28 meaning, trusting God in suffering, healing from trauma, biblical encouragement for hard seasons, faith and mental health, finding hope in the valley, Christian devotional for women, scripture study and Bible word study, the Gethsemane olive press meaning, hope after trauma.

Mentioned in this episode: The Happy Little Sunflower: Finding Hope in the Valley (available on Amazon, English and bilingual editions, with scripture coloring companion) and the Romans 8:28 painting, available at atforestsedge.com.

🎧 Subscribe for new episodes of At Forest's Edge, where we pull on threads of faith, story, and scripture until we find what they're connected to.

At Forests Edge

Season One: The Woman at the Forest's Edge

Episode Four: Romans 8:28 God is Still Weaving Your Story

Hosted by Raeanna Tilly, watercolor artist, author, and storyteller.

Trusting God with Tomorrow

There is a particular kind of fear that lives three weeks ahead of you.

This episode is for the woman who is already bracing for a tomorrow that hasn't come, running the worst version in her mind, furnishing it with details, exhausted by a catastrophe that may never arrive. The one who sat down with the numbers, or the diagnosis, or the silence, and felt the stone settle in her chest.

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. And you are still standing in it.

In this episode we explore:

The Greek word merimnaó (μεριμνάω): the word translated "worry" in Matthew 6:34, meaning a divided mind, pulled in two directions, and why Jesus wasn't asking you to feel nothing but to stop living in two days at once.

1 Peter 5:7:what it actually means to cast your anxiety, the active, intentional release of a fisherman's line, made possible only because He cares for you.

The hero who was never ready : Frodo Baggins, the youngest son in every fairy tale, and the reluctant man of Project Hail Mary, and what they teach us about courage that isn't the absence of fear.

A personal story from Raeanna about budgeting for a family of seven, the last Friday of every month, and the math that doesn't explain itself.

This is not a podcast of quick answers or easy encouragement. It is a place for the hard, sacred truth that grace was never meant to be stored. It arrives with the day. Not three weeks early. Not before you need it.

You are here. Which means the thing you feared either never came, or it came and you were given exactly what you needed, exactly when you needed it. You have never, not once, walked into a tomorrow unprovided for.

✦ MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE

Matthew 6:34 | 1 Peter 5:7 | Lamentations 3:23

The Today Is the Tomorrow You Worried About Yesterday painting :atforestsedge.com

✦ FIND RAEANNA

Website + show notes + newsletter: atforestsedge.com

Watercolor art + tutorials: YouTube @Raeanna-ArtistOfHope

✦ IF THIS FOUND YOU

Share it with the woman who is already living in next week.
