Susan Hassan Abdalla kom til Stord som flyktning for ti år sidan. Ho har overlevd massakren i Sabra og Shatila i 1982 og Israel sitt massive bombeåtak på Gaza i 2008/2009, ho har vore tolk for Yassir Arafat og gått på barneskule i Yemen. Ho er sterkt samfunnsengasert, oppteken av religion og feminisme, sjølvstende i både tankar og framferd og sitt eige folk sin lagnad,. Samtalen med henne er delt i to episodar, i denne første snakkar me først om Ramadan og Islam sine fem søyler og om hennar identitet som flyktning m.a. I den andre episoden handlar det både om feminisme og Islam og om å leva under bomberegnet frå isrealske F16-fly, då heimen hennar vart øydelegd og den kvite fosforen frå bombene brann både hus og folk. Og ho snakkar om å komma til Stord og bli lærar. Kommunepolitikaren har me priroritert vekk.
