About Atomic Trance

Albanian born 🇦🇱 Music Producer and Dj Nick Van Kukaj was born and raised in Albania, a small country nestled in the Balkans. Growing up, Nick was always fascinated by the sounds of music and found himself drawn to the rhythm of the drums. He would often bang on barrels and pots, creating beats that would make his friends and family dance along. As Nick grew older, he realized that his passion for music was more than just a passing interest. He wanted to pursue a career in the music industry and explore all the possibilities that it had to offer. However, opportunities for musical growth were limited in Albania, and Nick knew that if he wanted to achieve his dreams, he would have to move elsewhere. In the late 90s, Nick made the life-changing decision to leave his home country and move to the United Kingdom. It was a difficult transition, as he had to leave behind everything he knew and start anew in a foreign land. However, Nick was determined to succeed, and he knew that the UK offered him the best chance to make a name for himself in the music industry. Nick quickly immersed himself in the UK's electronic music scene, attending raves and soaking up the sounds of Hard House and Hard Trance. He was fascinated by the energy and excitement of the scene, and he knew that this was where he belonged. In 2002, Nick took the first step in his music production journey by purchasing a pair of belt drive decks. He spent hours practicing, honing his skills and perfecting his craft. As his passion for music production grew, he invested in a variety of synthesizers and drum sets, building a massive studio setup that allowed him to create the sounds that he had always dreamed of. Today, Nick is a respected producer in the UK's electronic music scene, and his unique sound has won him a dedicated fanbase. His studio is filled with his favorite synthesizers and drum sets, and he spends his days creating new beats and experimenting with sounds. Despite his success, Nick remains humble and grateful for the opportunities that the UK has given him, and he looks forward to continuing his journey in music for many years to come.

Nick van Kukaj (Year Mix 5 Hour Set)

5 hours. One journey. Pure energy from start to finish. This Year Countdown mix is everything I’ve lived and breathed throughout 2025 — Trance, Uplifting, Tech Trance, Hard Trance, Hard Dance… old classics and new weapons that shaped my gigs all year round. These are the records that created goosebumps, hands in the air moments, sweat, smiles, and memories I’ll carry forever. It’s never easy to capture everything in one recording, not every tune, not every moment — but what is here comes straight from the heart. Legendary artists, timeless music, and a lot of love from friends and people who’ve been part of this journey with me. Some moments behind these tracks were powerful, emotional, even life-defining. Massive thank you to everyone who supported me this year — promoters, labels, fellow artists, friends, family, and every single listener who showed up, danced, listened, and believed. You honestly keep me going. Tracklist will be available soon — respect is due where respect is earned. As we step into 2026, I wish you all health, strength, happiness, and the courage to chase what truly matters. Never stop believing in music, in love, and in each other. Happy New Year to you all ❤️ Thank you for being part of my story.
