Hello all,
If you are a lover of audiostories and audiobooks, this podcast is for you. I shall be bringing to you short stories and novels written in Bengali. Keep listening to the stories. Spread love!
Original story is Jasu's Adventures in Cambodia. The name of the book is Folk Tales from India. The translation is my own and I am no student of literature, so there are too many translation errors in this that I must admit. However, as a child I used to love reading this particular story and it has stayed with me since then. Therefore, it is my request to all the listeners on my channel to please forgive me for the mistakes that I have made during translation of this folktale. Thank you! Happy listening folks!
Hello Audiostory lovers! This episode is especially for children and also for all of us oldies to take the joyride back to childhood. 🤭🤭 And who better than Upendrakishore to weave a magic through his short stories? 🌟✨Therefore, Audiostories by Golpozone brings to you this compilation of 5 short stories by Upendrakishore Raychoudhury, which I had recorded during 14th November for the occasion of children's day. The stories cover some of his major characters like tuntuni, bagh, amongst others and takes the readers into the wonderland of adventures they undertake as well as the mishaps or problems they face. The storytelling by the author is so vivid that the events flash before the reader's eyes. I hope I have been able to do justice to the author's works that I have lent my voice to in this episode and I sincerely also hope that children hearing this Audiostory from anywhere in the world listens and enjoys the stories with as much glee as I had while reading and recording them. Take care y'all!

This piece is a departure from the usual genre that we associate with Chattopadhyay's works. But this is a brilliantly written piece on our journey in this world, during the course of which we lose our loved ones, our once-secure spaces, our beloved possessions, yet we move on in life without much complaints or remorse. This is a thought provoking piece on such realizations.

Take a joyride to childhood as you listen to this audiostory "Jola aar Shaat Bhoot" written by one of children's favourite bengali storywriters Upendrakishore Ray Choudhury, the father of Sukumar Ray and grandfather of Satyajit Ray. Upendrakishore is credited with creating the famous singer-drummer duo of Goopy Gayne and Bagha Bayne, the partly naughty partly witty tailorbird Tuntuni, the foolish Tiger uncle (Bagh mama) and the clever Fox nephew (Sheyal bhagne) amongst many more of his creations. Hope you will like this story of seven ghosts who gives three magic items to Jola mistaking his couplet as a warning to ward them off.

Chheledhora by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay
A heart touching short story on mob lynching and how it can affect people around. Often times rumours spread like wildfire and it does not take long for people to believe all that goes around as facts, and people easily give in to such stories without proper fact checking. That is the essence of this bengali story told through the tales of two brothers - latif and Mamud and the ordeals that they face in a particular village.

Ekti Khudro Puraton Golpo by Rabindranath Thakur
Ekti Khudro Puraton Golpo is a story with a very deep and strong message. It is a very short story through the perspective of two birds - the woodpecker and the stork, who happened to be unhappy with the shortness of food on earth. Having been unable to procure their own food they jointly decided that the world is not a good place to live in and openly started to declare the same through their actions. Tagore writes, that despite this proclamation the earth has not stopped giving shelter or the plants haven't stopped producing crops every season neither does it stop any other birds from singing their own songs. If anybody or anything bears the brunt of this unhealthy attitude it is those two birds that have a negative look towards life. In a way, Tagore is speaking of people who have a toxic mentality, who always put others down and discourage those in front or ahead of them. Listen to this beautiful short piece from Golpoguchho narrated by Mahashweta only on Audiostories by Golpozone.
