Auf Distanz 0134: Der Deutsche CanSat-Wettbewerb 2025-26
Auch in diesem Jahr gab es wieder eine Startkampagne des Deutschen CanSat-Wettbewerbs. Die teilnehmenden Teams kamen vom 9. bis zum 13. März 2026 für fünf Tage nach Bremen, stellten Präsentationen vor und machten ihre CanSats startklar. Höhepunkt war wie immer der Start in der Rakete am Flugplatz Rotenburg (Wümme). Ich hatte die Gelegenheit, mit allen Teams zu sprechen und außerdem mit Menschen aus Orga und Jury.

Auf Distanz 0133: Valles Marineris Explorer (VaMEx) und die DLR Explorer-Initiativen
Im Juli 2025 fand in einem ehemaligen Steinbruch in Bayern ein Feldtest im Rahmen des VaMEx-Projektes statt. Mit diesem Projekt möchte man Möglichkeiten zur Erforschung des Valles Marineris auf dem Mars und für die Suche nach Leben in diesem Grabenbruchsystem untersuchen. Beim Feldtest im Steinbruch erprobte man unterschiedliche Roboter und Drohnen in einer marsähnlichen Umgebung. Ich war einen Tag mit dabei und hatte Gelegenheit für einige Interviews mit Projektbeteiligten. In einem weiteren Interview geht es um die Explorer-Initiativen der Deutschen Raumfahrtagentur im DLR.

Auf Distanz 0132: Sophie Adenot und die Mission εpsilon
Am 15. Februar 2026 soll ESA-Astronautin Sophie Adenot zu ihrer ersten Langzeit-Mission εpsilon ins All starten. Zu diesem Anlass pflanzte sie am 5. Januar einen Baum am europäischen Astronautenzentrum EAC in Köln. Danach gab es eine Pressekonferenz. Ich war mit dabei und konnte bei der Gelegenheit zwei Interviews aufzeichnen, mit Flugärztin Prof. Dr. Bimba Hoyer und mit Dr. Rüdiger Seine, dem Leiter der Astronautentrainings am EAC. Wir sprachen über die Mission, die Vorbereitungen und die Baumpflanzzeremonie. Zum Schluss gibt es doch einen kurzen Ausblick, warum der geplante Starttermin für Sophie Adenot im Moment doch noch nicht sicher ist.
