Handle With Care
This Is A Theoretical Case Study: Based On True Events
(Case Study Material Written & Produced By: Aurora August)
The magic of a man’s attentiveness. The fear that washes over you when the one who loves you says “Talk to me” but if you do, there is no going back. You are the safe space…but in your vulnerable state, he refuses to step down and moves in the attempt to heal your heart. However, that is not his role as that position is filled already. Well…suppose to be anyway. This week's episode is a story, a reaction, and a call for action on how proximity and opportunity play a role in a woman’s frailty.
Is she strong enough to remain obedient to who she chose or is the grass greener on the other side? What does it look like when the man that is secure in his relationship now turns into the man that may lose the good thing? What happens when another man sees you unhappy and wants to fix it but he is not in that rightful place yet still does everything he can to prove his worth by working twice as hard for that woman of interest to see it? What happens when a man who isn’t yours loves you harder than the one you planned life with? This is a case study on the dynamics of when a woman is not handled with care and so much more. Let’s talk about it.

Showing Up Differently
Grief introduces a different challenge. Anger often creates an urge to act, defend, or confront. Grief can leave a man feeling powerless, disconnected, exhausted, or uncertain about who he is without the person, relationship, opportunity, or future he has lost. A man may grieve a parent's death, a failed marriage, a friendship that ended, a child he rarely sees, a business that collapsed, a career that defined him, or a version of himself he believed he would become. Not every loss receives public acknowledgment. Some men experience grief that others do not recognize as grief at all. They may be expected to return to work, pay the bills, lead their families, make decisions, and continue being dependable while privately trying to understand how their lives have changed. He may tell everyone that he is fine because he does not want to burden them. He may keep himself busy because stillness makes the loss harder to ignore. He may become irritable because sadness feels unfamiliar or because he does not know how to ask for comfort. Yet grief does not disappear simply because a man refuses to discuss it. It may emerge through isolation, exhaustion, emotional numbness, difficulty concentrating, or anger that seems unrelated to the present moment. Grief is not evidence that a man is weak. It is evidence that something mattered to him. Let’s talk about it.
