Ally Carter - IT_S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE MURDER
We had lively chat with the delightful Ally Carter whose holiday rom-com murder mystery, “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder” released on October 13th. We asked her our burning question: Does she know who the murderer is in advance? What's ties in both Christmas mysteries? How do you get your work in front of Netflix? Check out what she told us!
BLURB: Ella Chambers didn’t kill Liam Montgomery.
If she had, she certainly wouldn’t have done it outside his family’s mansion during the Christmas party of the year. She definitely wouldn’t have loaded his body into the trunk of her car. And she absolutely would not have announced to the town that the boy who ruined her life ten years ago was “so dead to her.”
But now Liam is missing—nothing but a bloody spot on the drive and a host of unanswered questions—and Ella is the only person who knows he’s still alive.
So it’s up to her to prove it.
Liam Montgomery didn’t want to die.
But, it turns out, when you’re the sole heir to a billionaire, someone might want you dead. Luckily for Liam, being dead works for him.
Now he’s on the hunt for a killer. Unfortunately, Ella is on the hunt for him.
She’ll have to prove he’s still alive to clear her name, but that’s easier said than done in a quaint mountain town where everyone knows your story but no one knows the truth. Can the billionaire’s grandson and the housekeeper’s daughter join forces to catch a killer? Or is their past too steeped in secrets and lies?
As the storm of the century blows in, every step will bring these two childhood rivals closer to a killer—and each other.
Because, this Christmas, only one thing is certain: it’s beginning to look a lot like murder.

A longtime lover of the holiday rom-com, Ally is also the writer of the Netflix original movie “A Castle for Christmas”.

Bruce Borgos (THE RIDDLE MAKER) EP 134
What if a serial killer sent you a riddle? Would you try to solve it? USA Today bestselling author, Bruce Borgos, discusses his new release, THE RIDDLE MAKER. When the riddle Sheriff Beck receives leads to a long dead murder victim, his world is turned upside down. As more riddles arrive, Beck must figure out who is behind them because the killer isn’t done, and those closest to Beck may just be his next target. Listen in as we chat about a special mailbox that will blow your mind, how challenging it was for Bruce to write riddles, and what people and asphalt have in common.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Bruce Borgos lives in Nevada, where the wild horses roam—and where he occasionally manages to sit down and write. The Blue Horse (now a USA Today bestseller and a Winner of the Will Rogers Medallion Award for Western Mystery) is his fifth novel and the third installment in the Porter Beck Mystery series, which means he’s getting pretty comfortable putting poor Porter through the wringer.
Bruce has been married to Pam for forty-one years, and together they share their home with their golden retriever, Charlie Blue Horse, which if you don’t already know it, is also the name of one of Bruce’s characters. Armed with a political science degree from the University of Nevada-Reno (a surprisingly useful qualification for crafting mysteries, apparently), Bruce spends his non-writing hours in deep contemplation… at the local wine store.
