Have a scenario. Have another family member pretend, you know, I'm Officer John and I'm walking up to you. Have that so that the child knows just because an officer approaches you doesn't mean you're in any trouble. Don't run. Keep calm hands. Say, if you can, say, I'm a person who has autism.
