Pas vanaf dat moment begrijpt ze waarom ze zich altijd zo anders heeft gevoeld en waarom ze met sommige dingen in het leven zo worstelt. Het is haar missie om Nederland van het 'Rainman-Syndroom' af te helpen. Er zijn namelijk nog steeds heel veel vooroordelen over autisme en die hoopt zij met deze podcast allemaal van tafel te vegen. Iedere aflevering van Autisme Ontrafeld is een persoonlijk verhaal van iemand met ASS. Zo verschillend en tegelijkertijd zo hetzelfde.</p>

Suzanne Rijken: 'Er zijn veel vooroordelen en dat moet anders'
<p>Suzanne Rijken is 16 jaar, zit in 5 vwo en heeft nu ruim een jaar de diagnose autisme. In mei 2021 begon ze met haar Instagram-account @autiesuus, waar ze ervaringen, tips en informatie over autisme deelt. Hiermee hoopt Suzanne andere autisten (h)erkenning te bieden, bij te dragen aan een breder beeld van autisme voor niet-autisten en zichzelf beter te leren kennen.</p>

Wilco van het Hul: 'Bij werkgevers liep ik steeds tegen dezelfde problemen aan'
<p>In deze aflevering van Autisme Ontrafeld is Wilco van het Hul (@yogametwilco) mijn gast. Eindelijk weer een man! Hij is softwaretester bij een grote zorgverzekeraar, is 40 jaar oud en weet sinds eind 2013 dat hij autisme heeft. Sindsdien weet hij beter welke keuzes hij moet maken en welke zaken hij beter kan vermijden. Via zijn blog deelt hij sinds kort zijn ervaringen met autisme en de positieve effecten van yoga en meditatie. Een heerlijke aflevering met tips voor werkgevers én met een humoristische noot.</p>
