This company fills a need for her senior community in Southwest Florida. They visit facilities and homes to check in on seniors, do activities with them and even offer respite. Dementia Inclusive Park
Today we celebrate the opening of a new park. A one of a kind. The Dementia Inclusive Park in Calgary. We at Autumn is Here are so excited to share this news. It is a park that is designed for safety and sensory for people with Dementia and Alzheimer's.Today we speak with the Executive Director of the park, Barb Ferguson. A five year project that opened on World Alzheimer's Day, Sept 21, will invite families and the community, to share the world of people with dementia. This is huge. People live many years with dementia. Families go through many challenging times with their loved ones. Now they have a place to take them and enjoy nature with them. Families will have the opportunity to make more memories with their loved ones.The park is open to all that want to experience it. I'm sure this park will inspire others around the world to make safe public places for people with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Listen to episode 177, and hear how it all got started. Autumn is Here
