Episode 19: Available for the Wild

In this episode, Kristin, Denise, and Tim explore what it means to stay wild in a world that keeps trying to tame us. The conversation begins with a quote from Isadora Duncan, “You were once wild here. Don’t let them tame you,” and quickly opens into a thoughtful, funny, and deeply relatable discussion about imagination, authenticity, and the parts of ourselves we learn to quiet. Denise immediately goes to Anne of Green Gables, the girl with the wind in her hair and a mind full of stories no one could contain. Tim goes straight to the frontier, to open land and untamed space, and to the way modern life has paved over so much of what once ran free. Kristin brings it back to children, creativity, and the ways our systems unintentionally box in the very qualities we need most. Together, the three talk about conformity, confidence, leadership, and the magnetic pull of authenticity in a world full of sameness. They touch on education, aesthetics, technology, and the courage it takes to be different when everyone else is blending in. And in true Available fashion, the episode ends with a vulnerable question about the parts of ourselves we have toned down and what might happen if we let them breathe again. A warm, honest, energizing episode that invites listeners to reconnect with the wild parts of themselves that were never meant to disappear. Episode 20: Available for Anticipation

In this episode, Kristin, Denise, and Tim explore the emotional space between expectation and anticipation, sparked by an Alexander Pope quote that lands with a thud: “Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.” It is bleak, but it opens the door to a deeper conversation about hope, planning, flexibility, and the way we approach the future. Kristin draws the distinction between expectation and anticipation, naming hope as the bridge between the two. Denise steps in with her love of planning, sharing how she maps out entire years for the chamber she leads while still leaving room for pivots, surprises, and the needs of the community. Tim brings the producer’s perspective, talking about the balance between structure and improvisation in podcasting and why a framework matters even when the conversation takes unexpected turns. Together, the three talk about planning without rigidity, preparing without controlling, and staying open to outcomes that might be better than the ones we imagined. They touch on leadership, creativity, public speaking, and the art of adjusting in real time. And in true Available fashion, the episode ends with a playful improv moment and a reminder that anticipation is often where the magic lives. A thoughtful, energizing episode that invites listeners to hold their plans loosely, their hope firmly, and their hearts open to possibility. Episode 17: Available for Wonder

In this episode, Kristin, Denise, and Tim settle into a conversation built around one simple word that opens a very big door. Wonder. What it means, how it shows up, and why it matters more than we realize. Kristin shares how wonder became her word of the year and how it shaped her faith, her focus, and her attention to the world. Denise talks about the awe she finds in the smallest systems, especially inside a beehive, where order and purpose unfold in ways that make everything else feel bigger. Tim brings in the modern version of wonder through technology and AI, not as a replacement for thinking but as a reminder of how human creativity keeps stretching the edges of what is possible. The conversation moves through nature, faith, innovation, pyramids, reading, babies, and the idea that God delights not only in the finished fruit but in the process that grows it. It is thoughtful, warm, and full of the kind of curiosity that makes life feel richer when you slow down long enough to notice it. A gentle, grounding episode that invites listeners to look up, look around, and let themselves wonder again. Like, rate, review, whatever your podcatcher platform allows. But, above all, subscribe.
