The Gap: Why knowing what to do isn't enough to change your life
Why is it that we can know something needs to change and still struggle to actually change it? In this episode of Awaken the Wisdom Within, I explore what I call The Gap, the space between knowing and doing. We’ll look at why lasting change requires more than motivation or willpower, and how your foundation, awareness, nervous system, perspective, and repeated actions all influence your ability to move forward. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated because you know what you “should” be doing but can’t seem to consistently do it, this conversation will help you look at change differently. You don’t have to change everything at once. You need to understand what is keeping you in the gap and identify the next step that is actually within your influence. In this episode: • Why functioning is not the same as being well • How your nervous system affects behavior and change • Why awareness has to come before action • How perspective influences your response • Why small, repeated actions create sustainable change Where is the gap in your life right now? If this info resonated with you, please let me know in the comments below. (https://trishahayden.com)

What are you building your life on?
We spend so much of our lives building. Careers. Businesses. Relationships. Families. Goals. The next version of ourselves. But how often do we stop and ask: What am I building all of this on? In this episode of Awaken the Wisdom Within, we explore why your health and well-being are the foundation that everything else rests upon. Because success means very little if the life you have created requires you to constantly override your body, live in stress, or abandon yourself to maintain it. We’ll talk about the different “hats” we wear, the identities we build around them, the beliefs and conditioning that shape our choices, and what happens when an old version of you can no longer hold the life you are trying to create. This is an invitation to look at your own foundation. How are you nourishing your body, your nervous system, your relationships, your joy, and your sense of purpose? You do not need to have your whole life figured out. You can begin by becoming more present in the life you already have. What are you building your life on, and is that foundation strong enough to hold where you want to go? Listen now and comment below your golden nugget from this episode and be sure to follow the show for more. Trisha xoxo More about me: trishahayden.com (https://trishahayden.com)

Awakening To More: Energy, Spirituality, and Expansion with Asia and Trisha
In this episode of Awaken the Wisdom Within, I’m joined by Asia, a fellow practitioner at The Springs, for an open conversation about energy, intuition, spirituality, and what happens when we begin expanding into a deeper awareness of ourselves. We share pieces of our own journeys, experiences we’ve witnessed through working with clients, and the subtle shifts that can happen when you begin paying attention to what you feel, what you sense, and what your inner knowing may be trying to tell you. This isn’t an interview or a step-by-step lesson. It’s two practitioners having a real conversation about the things that can be difficult to put into words, but that many of us have experienced. If you’ve been feeling a shift within yourself, becoming more curious about energy and spirituality, or wondering if there might be more to what you’re noticing and feeling, this conversation is for you. Be sure to follow the show for the latest episodes and drop us a comment if you listened and let us know. When Did Wellness Become Another Thing We Have To Be Good At?
Somewhere along the way, wellness became another thing to achieve. Drink enough water. Get your steps. Eat clean. Meditate. Work out. Take the supplements. Regulate your nervous system. Get enough sleep. Have a morning routine. And somehow, the very things meant to help us feel better can start to feel like another list we are failing to complete. In this episode of Awaken the Wisdom Within, I’m talking about what happens when wellness becomes another source of pressure instead of something that supports us. We’ll explore the difference between caring for yourself and constantly trying to improve yourself, why your body does not need a perfect routine to feel supported, and how to begin listening to what you actually need instead of following every wellness rule you have collected along the way. Because wellness was never supposed to be another measure of how well you are doing at life. Maybe it is time to make it yours again. Be sure to comment below if this episode resonated with you, I love to hear from you. Also, please share and make sure to follow for more. For more about me or to work with me. Click here. Triggers are your Teachers
We all have moments when someone says or does something and our reaction feels bigger than the situation itself. We call it being triggered, but what if those moments are not happening to you? What if they are happening for you? In this episode, I explore how emotional triggers reveal the parts of ourselves that still need attention, healing, and compassion. We talk about why the nervous system reacts before the thinking mind, how old emotional wounds continue to shape present-day relationships, and why reacting is often the body’s way of protecting us from feelings it has never fully processed. You’ll learn how to shift from unconscious reaction to conscious awareness, create greater emotional capacity, and begin responding from your authentic self instead of your survival patterns. If you’ve ever found yourself asking, “Why did that affect me so much?” this conversation will help you see your triggers in a completely different light. They may be uncomfortable, but they can also become some of your greatest teachers and your pathway to lasting healing. The Hidden Cost of Being the Strong One
People have always called you “the strong one.” The one who keeps it together. The one everyone depends on. The one who rarely asks for help. But what if that strength came at a cost? In this episode, I explore how many of us develop the identity of being “the strong one” long before we realize it. What begins as a way to survive can quietly become a pattern of over-functioning, people-pleasing, carrying everyone else’s burdens, and believing we have to do it all alone. I also share pieces of my own story and how childhood experiences shaped the belief that depending on others wasn’t safe. It took years of healing to realize that true strength isn’t about carrying everything by yourself. It’s about knowing when to set boundaries, receive support, and let yourself be cared for too. If you’ve ever struggled to ask for help, felt guilty for resting, or found yourself constantly putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own, this conversation is for you. In this episode, you’ll discover: • Why being “the strong one” often begins as a childhood survival strategy. • How early beliefs shape the way we show up in relationships. • Why receiving can feel harder than giving. • How to recognize when strength has become an identity instead of a choice. • A healthier definition of strength that allows you to care for yourself without guilt. Healing doesn’t ask you to become less capable. It invites you to stop carrying what was never yours to hold. Book a session with me or for more info: www.trishahayden.com (https://trishahayden.com)

Why you know what to do...but still don't do it.
You already know you should sleep more, move your body, eat better, and manage stress. So why is it still so hard to follow through? The answer isn’t laziness or a lack of willpower. When you don't know where to start, start with yourself

The body keeps score: What your symptoms might bring trying to tell you.
Have you ever wondered if your body is trying to get your attention? In this episode, I explore the powerful connection between your physical symptoms, emotional well-being, and nervous system. We often view pain, fatigue, tension, anxiety, and other symptoms as problems to fix, but what if they are actually messages inviting us to slow down, listen, and reconnect with ourselves? I share insights from somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and my own experience with sudden shoulder pain that resolved after rest, reflection, and self-care. You’ll learn how emotional suppression, chronic stress, people-pleasing, and living disconnected from your needs can show up in the body, and how to begin listening with curiosity rather than judgment. If you’ve ever felt like your body is speaking a language you don’t understand, this episode is for you. In this episode, you’ll learn: • How the nervous system influences physical symptoms • Common ways emotions can manifest in the body • Why symptoms are not always the enemy • The importance of rest, awareness, and self-compassion • Simple ways to begin reconnecting with your body’s wisdom Your body is not working against you. Have you ever felt disconnected from your own inner knowing? Like you second-guess every decision, look to others for answers, or wonder why trusting yourself feels so difficult? In this episode, we explore how self-trust is often lost through life experiences, conditioning, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and learning to ignore the signals your body has been sending all along. You’ll learn practical ways to strengthen your relationship with yourself, tune into your intuition, and begin making decisions from a place of confidence rather than fear. If you’ve been feeling stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from your inner wisdom, this conversation is for you. Because the answers you are searching for may not be outside of you.
