Awaken With Animals

About Awaken With Animals

We all live in this world sharing life with various sentient beings; think humans, animals, reptiles, insects…and the list goes on. Yet, why is it that we appear separate from one another? What if we looked at all life as different species, but one in unity? Would that not change up our relationships together? Marybeth Haines, The GAL Who Speaks With Animals sure thinks so! As an animal communication specialist, psychic medium, author, and coach/facilitator, she invites you to join her as she channels knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration directly from the animals who have come forward to teach. Listen to awe-inspiring revelations through direct messages from them, interviews with those who have profound experiences with them, and also guidance in ensuring you, the listener’s questions, are answered as well. Animals are here to help expand humanity’s consciousness and make our life journeys more enjoyable. They radiate love, compassion, and understanding in a way that humans have not been able to master….yet! Are you ready for personal growth, healing, transformation, and unity? If so, make the choice! Ep 87: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫: 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐔𝐬 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

In this episode, I explore a concept that more and more pet parents and animal caregivers are beginning to recognize within their relationships with animals: mirroring. What can it look like when our animals reflect something back to us through their behaviour, emotions, reactivity, or even their physical experiences? Our animals live in energetic relationship with us. When we look at animals through the lens of their instinctual nature, such as a pack of wolves or a colony of cats, we can begin to understand just how deeply connected animals are to the energy of those around them. Within our homes, we become part of that family system. We share space, routines, emotions, experiences, and energy. And sometimes, our animals can become powerful mirrors for us.If your animal is experiencing a behavioural challenge, illness, anxiety, aggression, reactivity, or something else that feels difficult, there can be an opportunity to become curious about whether mirroring may be part of the bigger picture. This does not mean that every behaviour, illness, or experience is a mirror. But sometimes, our animals can bring our awareness to something within ourselves that may also be asking for attention. Mirroring can invite us to become curious about the energetic relationship we share with our animals and to explore whether there may be something happening within us that is connected to what we are witnessing in them. In this episode, I share personal examples from my relationship with my beautiful soul friend, Cheech, and how his behaviours have helped me recognize things within myself that needed greater awareness. Rather than simply looking at those behaviours as something that needed to be fixed, I began asking what I could work with within myself that might also help support him. Through that process, Cheech’s behaviours became an opportunity for me to recognize what needed my attention. As I began supporting and working with those parts of myself, those shifts also created an opportunity to support him. We’ll also explore how to look beyond what is happening on the surface and begin noticing the layers underneath a behaviour or experience. Instead of immediately asking, “How do I stop this behaviour?” we can begin asking deeper questions about what may be happening within our animal, within ourselves, and within the relationship we share. 𝐁𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮: - recognize when mirroring may be something worth exploring within the relationship you share with your animal; - shift away from feeling that you must carry responsibility for everything your animal is experiencing and instead begin approaching it with curiosity, awareness, and personal responsibility for what is yours; - look beneath the surface of a behaviour or experience to explore the deeper layers;- become more aware of your own emotional and energetic state;identify what may be yours to work with while still honouring your animal’s own individual experience; and - understand how supporting yourself can sometimes create positive shifts within the relationship you share with your animal. When an animal shares something with us through mirroring, it can become an opportunity to become more aware. Aware of ourselves, of our animal, and of the relationship we share. This episode is about learning to notice what our animals may be showing us, looking beyond the surface, and allowing that awareness to become an opportunity for growth, understanding, and a deeper connection with one another. Ep 85: The Door Was Always There - A Soul Lesson From Nemo The Chihuahua

It’s taken me a long time to bring this out into the world. In fact, I’ve been sitting with this for months now. So much has happened over the last year, the last six months, even the last few weeks… I honestly don’t even know where to begin. So I’ll begin right here. I’ve been sitting with this episode for a while. Knowing I wanted to record it… feeling it in my heart… but also knowing it needed to come when it was truly ready. And I finally shared the story of my sweet Nemo on the Awaken With Animals podcast. Not just the story of his passing on December 23, 2025, but the deeper teaching he gave me in his final hours. Nemo showed me something I will carry with me forever. That when animals communicate, they are speaking in the moment. And as humans, we can sometimes attach meaning that stretches beyond that moment. He told me he wasn’t ready, and I held onto that. But what he was really teaching me was to trust what is true right then, and to stay open when things change. Because they did… and very quickly. And in that shift came one of the most profound lessons of my life. Nemo taught me to trust, to listen, and to be present. To let love lead, even when it is incredibly hard. This episode is deeply personal. It’s tender, emotional, and also filled with gratitude for everything he gave me. If you have ever loved an animal who is now in spirit, I believe there is something here for you. You can listen to the episode now on Awaken With Animals. And if you feel called, I would truly love to hear about your animal too. Email me at thegalspeaks@gmail.com (mailto:thegalspeaks@gmail.com) or come see me on Facebook or Instagram. EP84: When Love Meets Loss - Saying Goodbye To My Beloved Blessing

It’s been quite a while since I’ve recorded here — almost a year — and today I felt the nudge to sit down and share. In this episode of Awaken With Animals, I share from the heart about the recent passing of my beloved bearded dragon, Blessing. Just two days ago, she left this world, and I felt called to honour her journey and her life by telling her story. As someone who helps others navigate the loss of their animal companions, I now find myself walking this path once again. I’ve been here before, yet each time is a tender reminder of how real and raw the journey through grief can be — with all the “what ifs” and emotions that surface when we have to say goodbye. Grief isn’t linear, and in this episode I speak openly, authentically, and with love about the rawness of loss, while offering comfort and encouragement to anyone walking this path with their own beloveds. Come join me, and together let’s celebrate the life of Blessing the Bearded Dragon, while connecting in this shared journey of loss and love. Love and hugs, Marybeth PS.
